why are all the tax question threads locked immediately?

But every time I see a tax question it is locked immediately...

I'm just curious why.

Because there is a tax thread in existance to allow a common location for all tax related topics.

It was stickied until the deadline for tax filings ended

and if its no longer stickied... who wants to bump a 3 week old thread with 800 replies in it?
