Why are all the annoying cocky football players WR?

You think of all the cocky and annoying people in the NFL and a LARGE majority of them are WR. Owens, Moss, Plax, C.Johnson, D.Sanders, Keyshawn. Why is that? I mean they probably do the least amount of work of any other positions but still think they should be thrown to on every down.

The problem would probably be reversed between WR and RB if anyone used the Texas Tech offensive style 😛.

They get a little insecure about the fact that they have the only job on the field that specifically requires another person to perform their job correctly in orde for them to succeed. They compensate by being freaks.

Honestly...I'd rather put up with the melodrama put out by attention whoring wide outs than put up with lame ass dances and arm thrustings that defensive players are now doing AFTER EVERY SINGLE PLAY.

imo, it should only be for sacks, huge monster hits, and 3rd/4th down stops

From PTI, it went something like "I think it was better if Shawn Merriman didn't do his usual celebration because it looked as if he was repeatedly injecting himself with a needle."

I don't know, but I play into it because when a wide receiver makes a play, it looks super sweet and dramatic. A TE or RB usually only gets a few yards on most plays.... Maybe I play too much Madden.

I just see it all too often when an opponent makes a play that results in a first down and the idiot defender *still* does some stupid little arm pump or celebration.

Who cares if you made a big hit. They still got positive yardage and another set of downs.

Sanders was a CB

Because it is very hard to run a route, be open for a big play, and not have the ball thrown to you. The psychology that you can do your job perfectly and have zero production.

He was primarily a CB but he did play WR from time to time.
