Why are all Japanese anime perverted?

So I pick up an anime called Kite, at best buy, start reading the description. It seems to be about some young orphaned girl, who is trained by a cop, to kill bad guys. Sweet, sounds like a good anime. I go home to read some reviews and turns out, the cop and his partner rapes her, and there are graphic child molestation scenes cut out from the US version. WHAT THE F? UHHH...

Now, I saw another anime at Suncoast, called Angel Sanctuary. About an angel who challenges God, and he fails. About love, angels, demons, etc. Sounds very interesting, but I read some reviews. Turns out the angel when he is reborn as a human is in love with his own sister. Deals with incest and whatnot. WHAT THE F????

I give up on anime, no more. I cannot take it. Plots and stories ruined by sick pervertedness. What is up with this? Why are Japanese animators so lustful of sick and twisted sex topics. Is it in their culture? I remember READING about the Japanese invading Manchuria, they did some twisted crap to the women. Makes me puke.

Anyways...jap anime is very perverted...there is a lot out there that isn't. Go and get one called Trigun. There is the Street Fighter V series. That one was pretty good...no sex. Wow, sounds like you guys managed to only be browsing in the hentai section, because most of the well-respected anime series have little to none of what's been mentioned. In Japan, anime is just as common as regular film, and we do have pornographic regular film here, don't we? It'd only make sense that they'd have some porno anime flicks as well.. and it's easier to sell that stuff to horny American teenagers then the actual deep, thought-provoking anime that I'm sure Japan is a bit more proud of.

Dont get discouraged. Just do some searches first for recommendations before buying anything. There really is some sick stuff out there and since im not a superperv I really dont get how people think that crap up.

The real sick part is that anime is pretty popular here and theres alot of bootlegs getting passed around so alot of kids are just sitting there watching the nazi rape machine right in the middle of their brothers &quot;cartoon&quot;. Ive seen it happen because I watched a friends cousin go through his tapes and just grabbed a &quot;cartoon&quot;, tossed it in the VCR and planted the kid in front of it and went to take a shower.

Kite, Angel Sanctuary, Lengend of Overfiend, why is it that these are always the first ones people pick up? no wonder anime gets a bad rap. After you see something like that, it's no wonder that you'd think Anime is bad. stores need to learn to put stuff like this where ever they put the rest of the adult videos. I myself have heard of them, but i've never watched any. Don't plan to, either. There's plenty of stuff to watch without those. see the lists written above.

Of course, there's always the store that goes overboard: I swear I read somewhere that a store ended up putting ALL of it's anime in the adult section. Including stuff like Hayao Miyazaki's &quot;My neighbor Totoro&quot;. Oops
