Why am I such a jealous person?

Well, my "nearly-girlfriend" went out with a guy today to go drink something in the late afternoon-evening (about 5pm). Nearly-girlfriend cuz we're not really together yet. I wrote her a message on her mobile at about 7pm, no response, at 10pm, no response and finally, she called on 11pm. I wrote her a message in a very sarcastic tone, that I hope she's enjoying the time with this other guy and I kinda freaked out, cuz she didn't write me anything back. She just told me, she met another friend in the city and chilled with him and how in hell I could think, that she had somethin' going with this other guy(the one she went for a drink with). She's really cool and I know she would never cheat on me(if I can say it like that cuz we're not together yet) but why am I still so damn jealous?

I have to say that the last two girlfriends cheated on me so I think that's the problem, but is there anyway how I can somehow trust her more?

IMO, jealousy indicates that a person views a loved one as a possession. When I was younger, I was sometimes flattered if a guy was jealous. Now I see it as a sign that he didn't really see me as a person at all, just as a "thing" which "belonged" to him.

I used to be like that when I was younger. Now I don't even care anymore. If she cheats on me, then it's not meant to be.
It's all about trust. If you can't give it, then it's time to move on.

I think you're jealous because you're only "nearly" dating, and also, you're human. When you first start almost dating someone, all your attention is focused on them, and when they have time and energy to focus on some other person of the opposite sex, it sucks -- it's like "how dare she!"

Just tell her how you feel, even if that means just telling her you are shocked at feeling jealous. I doubt she'll totally freak out and not want to see you anymore over this (unless you pulled a "best actress in a drama" worthy performance) Good luck.

Well guys and gals, everything turned out fine. I just stopped by and we cleared that up. She really rocks. Eeeeeeeeverything fine again and I just finished my apprenticeship today (after 4 years). Whatta great day!

Nah, I think I realized how much jealous can f*ck up so yeah, if she would cheat on me, she wouldn't be the right one.
