Why am I so HOT..75C

I have a AMD 1.33ghz chip with a Taisol HSF on top. I put the two together using Artic Silver II. Then I run windows, I get a warning message from the WinFast Geforce2 Pro software saying CPU temp warning, it says i am at 75C. When I reboot and check the bios it says I am at 53C. Why am I running so hot if it is true I am at 75C?? Thanks alot.

Get Motherboard Monitor, set it up, and see what it says. It should be more accurate than something designed for a Geforce2 card.

I'd agree with Jeff. It's kinda odd to use the WinFast software to monitor anything but your v-card. You sure that's not the temp of your GPU?

Either way (CPU or GPU), that's quite hot. Sorry, don't have any tips for ya.

I am using CPUcool. it shows cpu temp and lower it down from 43C to 32C for normal use.
