Why are my scores so low, here are my system specs

Celeron600@900
Abit Be6-II
Creative Labs Geforce2 GTS 32mb DDR
DirectX7
6.31 Detonator driver
IBM 75gxp
SB live platinum
Windows 2000 professional

please help

I don't know if it will help you, but I've heard that some people need to go into the CMOS and change the AGP setting from Auto to DA.

Im running detonator 6.31 driver
also in the bios I dunno what he meant by auto to da, I dont see that
also how do i tell what speed the agp is at?

It's because you're running it in Win2000 Pro. 3dmark 2000 always performs very poorly. My scores are always much better when I've run it in Win98SE, or WinME compared to Win2000 Pro.

I've heard that you can improve performance somewhat by upgrading to DX8 and possibly using one of the beta 7.xx Detonator drivers. Not sure about that though, since I use ME for gaming and 2000 Pro for other things. Of course some ppl say that the 7.xx drivers are slower than the 6.xx drivers, so I would try getting DX8 first.

I forgot to add that the Abit BE6-II mobo can do either 1x, or 2x agp. I used to have one, before I got my Asus CUSL2.

Wow, you can get your Celeron 600 all the way up to 900? What voltage are you using? Memory? I can't get my own Celeron 600 past 747.....

BTW I also had this weird slow performance bug in 3DMark. At 600MHz, I got 3320. But when I increased it to 747MHz, it dropped down to 2780! That was weird, but anyway I rebooted the system and then my score jumped back up to 3812. Weird....
