Why am I NOW sucking at starting conversation with friends...?

I used to be a chatterbox a while ago but now I've come to realize that I'm not so much a chatterbox as I used to be. While it's fairly easy for me to start conversations with people I don't know, I find it difficult to start conversations with people I DO KNOW. Funny things happen to me during a week that I'm excited to talk about but when I come up to friends to talk about it, I just forget...

I know what you're going through. It's because you've been talking on AIM too much and not talking to people enough in real life. Happens to the best of us, it's okay.

No, it just means that you're too used to an environment where you can think things through better and aren't as good at on-the-fly conversations as you used to be. It hit me pretty hard this year actually. I never used to miss a beat but occasionally I lose my train of thought or forget what I'm trying to say and stutter once or twice. For the past month or though it's started to get a lot better.
