Why am I gettting different broadband speed? Please help :(

Which ones are wired versus wireless?

What's your modem / router / ISP setup?
All are wireless connected. I tried wired and I get the same results.

'What's your modem / router / ISP setup?' What do you mean? What do you need to know? Sorry I'm still a newb.

No problem

Start with who your ISP is, and then give us the models of the Cable or DSL modem. and the router you use to connect all the devices

If you're leasing the modem from the ISP, sometimes they'll give you a modem/router combo (aka gateway), so you might only have one device that is both devices combined.

I find it a little odd that you get the same results from a wired connection. What OS's are running on the PC's?

ISP - Virgin Media. Models of the cable how do I find out? If you go on the virginmedia website (UK) I have the 'Start collection' package.

Go pick up the modem and find the model number on it.

Don't just trust speed test sites either. You might need to ping inside the network and make sure everythings ok inside before you start testing outside.
