I think the other thread about gas was mocking the statements made by the gov. or his publicist or whoever was saying people might blow themselves up if they tried to pump their own gas. So Jersey may be ok (I have visited a couple of times, and not just AC, and it's not a bad place) but you elected an idiot who appointed another idiot to speak for him/handle media relations.

Being from California, you may now bash me on account of the Governator and I will silently accept it without calling the whaaaaambulance.

We realize you're from New Jersey, you have our deepest sympathies, but its about time you get over it and get on with your life!

Coming from someone who's from New Mexico ?

What's in New Mexico ?
I can tell you what's not in New Mexico, scum from New Jersey.

Good enough. They got more scum there than NJ.
New Mexico ranks high one of the most dangerous states to live in.

I dont get why everyone knocks New Jersey. I was born and raised there. I grew up in a town called Mount Laurel (right next to Moorestown - voted top place in America to live). The area around me is mostly large homes, malls, a few golf courses and that is it. Where do people get the idea it is dirty? Sure the parts that the turnpike runs thru isnt all great, but why build nice stuff near a highway?

I now live in Maryland, and to those from MD who knock NJ - I got news for you, I drive along I95 from Columbia to Essex every day and that strech of 95 is no prize. Also, it smells pretty bad. On the topic of highways, Maryland drivers seem to generally be terrible, but that is off the topic.

And about the gas thing, gas is cheaper in NJ and someone pumps it for me. But people are right to make fun, I sure do love paying more for less service.

I feel better now, that is all.

When my friends and I recently visited atlantic city, apon entering jersey we noticed an odd smell, that only grew stronger the deeper into jersey we got. We had to pull over we were laughign so hard. We had always thought people were joking when they said the state smelled awful. Also atlantic city was fun, alright, but not good for more than like a night. all the casinos are exactly identical. So, your state smells poorly, your main attraction is repetitive and good for only a night, and the highway system was awwwwful

hmm...did you go in the other NJ thread and copy/paste your own post? I mean..that's kinda sad.

There's a lot of ignorance from non-Jersey natives about New Jersey.

Everyone thinks its a sh!thole to live in when in reality its only a sh!thole to live in for people who ACTUALLY live there.

So let's get it straight. :p

Nothing that would attract people from New Jersey.

Thank god. :p;)

Well call me crazy but I'd rather hae the "scum" as you call it then having a cup of coffee with a different illegal immigrant each morning.

Please reread, I never called it or them scum.

And if I had thought it, I would have simply used the word 'Jersey' and avoided redundancy altogether. ;)

Because they need a break from California bashing, or Texas bashing.

Or...

Because it's fun to bash. I don't know anything about New Jersey, and I enjoy the bashing. I don't take it seriously. I believe it's full of exaggerations and the use of anecdotal evidence in support of sweeping generalizations.

Just enjoy it. As a California native, I read plenty people bashing my state and even my area (I live in Oakland, 2 blocks from Berkeley - ground zero for lefties). It makes me laugh. I love it here, no matter what the bashers say. Maybe enough people will believe the bashing and stay out and I could buy my next house for under a million (fat chance, dammit).

Sure, its true that New Jersey technically has the most superfund sites in the country with 116, but in all fairness, most authorities only consider it as one.

Compared to land area, that's insane.

My grade school was a stone's throw from a superfund site. Old industrial-revolution dye factory.

There you go. I was right. Only one superfund site. :p

And so many silly people bash it as a polluted wasteland. ;)

Dang, where's the fun of that. Bringing hard proof into things. Now I'll have to believe all the California bashing too, and move out. And I thought I was so happy here. :(

In all fairness again, that website hasn't been updated for atleast, well, a couple months or so. :D

But don't believe everything you read about in those CA bashing threads. I haven't had anything bad to say about CA nor done any CA bashing :) ...today.;)
