if you have to answer all those questions in complete paragraphs prior to treating the kid there won't be a problem...
the question is very simple in real life: is it my kid or your kid?
Pretty much. And I can assure you that what I would do if it is my kid would be different than if it was your kid, but I would still be there to help in some way if asked or if I knew about it. Been there when I was sick, been there when my wife was sick.
When you try to break down complex questions into black and white, simple, un-nuanced answers...well, you get the political climate we have today. Most things in life just don't work that way.
