Why 2 display adapter is in device manager ?

Hey ,
I've noticed for yrs now that most pc i worked with has 2 display adapter in control panel...why ? what's the purpose ??

It is because your Graphics card supports two separate displays at once.

Yeah, it has something to do with how the drivers were written in.

NOTE : If you have a card with multiple outputs that is fairly modern, and it DOESN'T have two listings in DM, it's just written differently, it will still work fine for multi-display.
