WHS won't see server when trying to restore

For the first time, I am trying to restore the OS of a computer that I have been backing up and I can't get the computer I want to restore to see the server on my network. Do I need to load drivers for the ethernet port in order for the computer to see the network? I can see the network when I let the computer boot normally without the restore CD. I am using the old version of WHS. I am trying to restore an XP pro machine that has too many viruses to bother with fixing.

Put the 32-bit NIC drivers for your system on a USB drive. Use that during the restore. You can also try using the xfiles restore CD. It might have newer drivers. You should be able to find version 1.3 or 1.4 on various torrent sites. I can't seem to locate the original website but the guy who did it is an admin over at the wegotserved forums.
