WHS Networking Help Requested

Hey all,

I have few issues with WHS hoping I can get a hand with.

When I open the shortcut to the server's web page (not the online storage part) it will not work.

Connector software and restore CD will not locate server.

I have a pop up when starting that there is an duplicate IP on the network (the above issues occurred b4 this one happened)

Win 8 will not access any shares via a PW

Existing computers on the network back up and access the server fine



How can I make sre the servers network address an configurations are good?

Does the server have a static assigned IP address? If so, make sure you aren't assigning the same IP to two different devices, and make sure the IP address you are using for the server is not within the range of addresses that your router is handing out to DHCP clients. If you have a duplicate IP address somewhere, it can cause all kinds of different networking problems.

looking at the attached devices, I have 3 separate listings for my server.

I should only have 2 (2 network ports plugged into my router)

How do I fix this?

one other thing,

When im in the network section of win7 down at the bottom it lists there server as other devices, you click on this and it will open the welcome screen.

http://server2/upnp/welcome.aspx?

This does not work, nor has it for quite some time.
