A lot of people have recommended the HP over the non, but does the HP have SpeedBooster?

Also, how does the HP stack up against the new and improved WHR-G125?

Thanks all

Yes.

There's going to be a new WHR-HP-G125 -- looks like a WHR-G125 with a better antennae (and built-in amplifier).

Each Brand that sells Wireless has their version of "Boosted" Wireless Router.

D-Link calls it Extreme (SuperG) Linksys calls it SpeedBooster, and Buffalo calls it 125.

These special Wireless modes Boost the Signal frequency not the Power and thus add Badwidth to the Network connection.

The Buffallo HP has an additional Amplifier at the RF output that Boosts the RF Power and thus propagate stronger signal at the same frequency.

WIFI Frequency is measured by Mb/sec. Power is measured by mW.

Just to be clear, there are many different implementations of this technology. Buffalo uses Broadcom's implementation, which isn't compatible with the Airgo or Atheros implementations.

Just because a card claims 125Mbps does not mean it will be compatible with the higher-speed mode on the Buffalo. Look for wireless adapters based on Broadcom technology.

Yeah, I know all the technology stuff, I just couldn't figure out if the WHR-HP-G54 had the 125HSM since it's not listed in that section on Buffalo's website. Linksys denotes their SpeedBooster routers with an "S" at the end of the model number, so I was kinda thinking Buffalo might have done the same (so WHR-G54S vs WHR-HP-G54).

Since my WHR-G54S died, I'm thinking about getting the WHR-HP-G54 since it'd be like $2 more off Newegg (Circuit City's price break on the G54S ended and they refunded me instead of letting me exchange).

Thanks, though.
