Whose your favorite republican

Personally since I am a democrat and I have typically hated republicans being such a$$es they have been lately, the only republican I like is the govenator Arnold Schwarzenegger. I feel like hes the only republican I can relate to and I am pretty liberal, I voted for him and so did my entire family. I really like the fact he has really strong democratic ties and that he is setting up an alternative forms of energy plan for California. I like the fact he is not a Bush-God fanboy who thinks hes holier-than-thou sorta complex and I respect him for making his his own fortune and he is doing his best to control the deficit.

I hope CAD approves of this, and I hope he gives me some recognition. After all CkG I don't hate them all...

:D

Zell Miller. He is a hypocrite. He is the epitome of Republicanism.

i agree on all counts. those three are the most reasonable, it seems to me.
mccain especially. he really doesnt BS. while i dont agree with everything, he is level-headed enough to make intelligent decisions based on the greater good rather than emotion. which, apparently, is pretty rare in all parties these days.

i used to like powel a lot more than i do now. i think this administration sort of immobilized him.

arnold, again, seems pretty decent. im a little weary of the accusations that came out about him but...well, he still has time to prove himself in either direction but from what he has said and done thus far he seems like a pretty together guy.

I like Mccain for above mentioned reason that he doesn't fvck around and dodge questions. He tells it like it is and I feel he'd make rational decisions looking out for the countries best interests.

And although I'm not in California it seems like Arnold is doing ok so far. I thought it was a bit of a joke that he got elected...but its nice to see a republican care about some enviromental issues like he does, and he seems to genuinely be trying to fix that budget mess. I like how he said that he may have to raise taxes instead of beating around the bush on it.

People charge that he knows little of politics, but I'm not sure I agree. He's been in the public eye most of his life and thats a big part of politics, just handling the media, etc. Plus, he's a self made man with one of the best business senses in hollywood so it seems like he probably would know how to do a bit of budgeting.

But time will tell for arny.

I wanted McCain to get the nomination in 2000.

I used to have a lot of respect for Colin Powell, too.

Bill Clinton used to be my favorite Republican.

Ditto on William Cohen, Winston.

The only republican i like is Ron Paul (because he's really a libertarian). All the other republicans are fascist commies.

Rudy Guliani... do local boys count? I don't know how he'd be on a national level; but he did a good job of cleaning NYC up through most of his administration. And how he conducted and presented himself in the midst of 9/11 should be used as a standard of measure for others to follow.
