whose service is better in No. CA? Verizon, Cingular or t-mobile

I'm looking into getting a cell phone from either Verizon, Cingular, or t-mobile in the Fresno, CA area. Both carriers are offering 1000 minutes (but no nights and weekend minutes :frown: ) for $39.99/month. All plans offer the same service except Cingular has "roll over" minutes, and t-mobile gives you 50 free text messasges. However, Verizon is offering a Motorola T720 for only $49.00. Which company has better service? My dad uses Verizon and it's pretty clear.
