Who's your favorite philosopher?

my fave is jean baudrillard closely followed by george berkeley. they represent different schools of thought as well as from different eras, but equally have my interest. :light:

syringer,

you can prolly delete baudrillard and berkeley from the poll options because i'm certain they'd only be known in their own circles--as opposed to mainstream philosophy. 🙂

Chinese and Korean philosophers, although they are philosophers and more. Right now I like the works of Han Fei, Zhu Xi, and Kim Manjung.

I also like Albert Camus and Niccolo Machiavelli.

One of these days I should also study Thomas Aquinas.

Homer Simpsons?

Heh...if anyone wants to look at the philosophical aspects of popular culture, there are philosophy books about The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and The Matrix, all edited by William Irwin. The book about The Matrix was awesome, it added a whole other dimesion to that movie for me.
