True... Well if ya got HBO Comedy they just finished up a set of his from the 80's (i think) and theres another hour or so coming up next 🙂
 
I like the Python troop as well, as for current comedians.....

....I think Eddie Izzard is really damned funny.
 
Don't know if this counts, but Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors. I find him to be quite funny. 🙂 Especially the "cotton mouth scene" in Me, Myself, and Irene. 😀
 
Dennis Leary gets my vote - he was just on Comedy Central as I read this thread! Nothing like nonstop swearing and talk about drugs and drinking and sex. That guy is nuts.
