On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my favorite.

Sean Connery is my favorite Bond followed closely by Pierce Brosnan.

I think that you will find that most of us "oldsters" will like Sean, as he defined the role. I really liked the intensity that Timothy Dalton brought to the role (Did you ever see the version of "Wuthering Heights" he was in? He remains Heathcliff to this day).

As to my favorite(s), 2 through 5 to me ARE what the Bond movies are all about, but then I'm an "oldster", some of the younger members no doubt find them corny. Let me assure you, in the 1960's they were far out.

Timothy Dalton was TOO damn serious. He took at the slight humour in the Bond series. I'm glad that they got rid of his stiff ass. Pierce is the only "true" successor to Sean

I like Dalton's style. He was great in The Living Daylights, but I didn't care too much for License to Kill. My favorite movie has to be Octopussy, with Live and Let Die a close second.

Sean Connery and Gold Finger.
I am partial to Gold Finger because it's based in my hometown.... anybody know it?
Kinda freaky to see it back in the early 60's...

3 - Goldfinger Sean Connery 1964

Sean Connery is THE man. No Bond will ever be as good as he was.

Did Bond, played by Sean Connery, ever shag the first Money Penny? She was pretty good looking in the first Bonds. Wha...she's pretty...I'm just sayin she used to be pretty!

Connery rocks! :) My fave would probably be Goldfinger:

Bond: "Do you expect me to talk?"

GF: "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

BTW, you missed Never Say Never Again (1983) Or was that intentional? :D

Sorry to go off-topic in an Off Topic thread, but...

<< (Did you ever see the version of "Wuthering Heights" he was in? He remains Heathcliff to this day). >>

For me, it was the Ralph Fiennes/Juliette Binoche version of Wuthering Heights - even after seeing it with Olivier/Merle Oberon, I think of Heathcliffe as Ralph Fiennes. :)

I would have to go with Sean Connery also. Don't really have a particular favorite.

Is is just me, or was Bond a whole rougher with women in the Connery era?

I do love the part in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" were Lazenby had just gotten roughed up and was walking down the beach and said: "This never happens to the other guys".......lmao :)
