It was pretty strange, as usual, but I like Doggett. I wish they would get around to resolving more storylines in the eps though, it's frustrating to have to get halfway through the season before one question is answered, only to have ten new ones pop up.

Is that the same kid playing Gibson Praise? He looks like he grew about five inches and put on 30 pounds since the last time I saw him.

When Scully threw the water on Doggett, I half expected him to morph into the T2 guy. Weird. He's got some freaky eyes, they are so pale.

That's not Mulder. It's probably one of those freaky alien shape-shifter guys trying to make it look like Mulder went nuts.

his reasons for leaving are greed...

actually they filmed several possiblities for the end of the last season... if Ducovney (sp?) didn't get what he wanted he was gonna' walk and they would have killed off his character.

now he got what he wanted... the cash and to be phased out all together...

either way... this is gonna be the last season right?

Nope, it may not be the last season. Gillian has already signed on for the next season (Chris Carter made it a condition of her contract this season - she got more money this year by agreeing to commit to one more season if the show was continued). I have heard the Lone Gunmen have their own series coming up, but whether XF continues is probably going to be decided by how the audience likes Doggett.

In the last arc of the season, Mulder went back to the small town featured in the pilot ep, where all kinds of kids were being abducted by aliens. And they took him - he was afraid they were after Scully, so he wouldn't let her go, but he took Skinner and the aliens/bad guys (because you never really know who they are) took him.

Duchovny said he wanted more time with his family, more time to do movies, plus he was just tired of playing Mulder. He and Gillian don't get along very well, and this last year, he sued Fox and Chris Carter, saying they sold the syndication rights to FX even though they could have gotten more money from someone else. So that cut into his royalties, boohoo. He ended up settling the case, but I can't imagine everything is sunshine and light between Duchovny and the bigwigs on the show anymore. Plus he's an arrogant ass, so I really hope Doggett works out.

It looks like the same kid playing Gibson, that story was a couple of seasons ago so I would say he looks like he's grown.

I liked Doggett, I think he'll be a good addition to the show and would like to see it go another season. I wouldn't really miss Mulder all that much.

I like Doggett too, at least so far. He's a lot more "FBI-ish" (for want of a better word) than Duchovny, and I'm getting sick of Mulder's whining. I've always been a bigger fan of Mitch Pileggi (who plays AD Skinner), so if they continue the series with Scully, Doggett and Skinner, I'll still watch.

I thought the kid playing Gibson looked the same. I forgot how much kids change over the course of a year or so - he definitely lost that cute little blonde boy look he had.

I agree with you on Scully, Skinner and Doggett, add the Lone Gunmen a little more and it's an even better series. Still fun and entertaining to watch.

Yes Gibson has entered into that geeky awkward stage I remember so well. I thought I would have outgrown that by the time I hit 40!
