Football is most watched sport on the Earth.
American football can NOT be named Football, as mot of the time of The Game ball is carried by Hands - can be called an American Version of Rugby.

Soccer - everywhere in The World called Football is REAL FOOTBALL, where only goaltender is allowed to handle a ball with hands.....

I didn't attend the fancy lad academy so I'll keep calling it soccer.

forward pass is legal. a change that was made in 1906 after 18 players had been killed and 159 seriously injured the previous year.

too bad the sport that is american football wasn't invented until mid nineteenth century while actual football has been around since at least the eighth century.

It turns out that a whole lot of stuff invented back then really sucks. Do you go to a lot of jousting tournaments?

Hell, playing games with the severed heads of your opponents has been around at least that long. I'd pay to watch that...🙄
 
Poor countries play futbol because all you need is a ball and a make-shift goal.

It is also why the Dominicans, Cubans, Venezuelans, etc are great at Baseball........


If we took our best athletes and they only played football/soccer, we would dominate like we do pretty much everything else that doesnt involve sprinting.

I fence 4 nights a week, not the same as what it used to be (fight to the death) but still a very fun sport. And to answer your question I see jousting tournaments 2-3 times a year.

The point was an older sport would have name priority over a newer sport, just because you like it doesnt mean it deserves the name an already established sport had 😛

Congratulations. I don't want you to think I'm being facetious, because I play pool, and that outgrew its usefulness about 50 years ago. But, let's face it, football hasn't meant "futbol" for at least 80 years in America. And our sports are better than the rest of the world's. Soccer is a boring version of hockey played on grass and with fewer fights. The highlights are great, but highlights make baseball look interesting, and everyone knows it isn't. Fuck those horrible games. Football, basketball. Everything else sucks to watch unless you personally play it.

definitely watching football. some amazing goals were scored today. world class goals by both italy and spain.
