who's using bluetooth headsets?

I ordered and should be recieving monday a Plantronics M2500 for use with my Nokia 6820. Anyone using bluetooth headsets out there? How's it working out? How fast is it draining the battery on your phone when using? How far away can you walk?

I really hope your experience is better than mine, I found Bluetooth to be more than a little annoying & gave up.

Short battery life
Security is lacking
Software was tinkery & poorly written

My Bluetooth fantasy was ruined by my wife when I showed her how I could sync my phone to my computer & she said "But you're 2 feet away, you just spent $200 to syc from 2 feet away?"😱

Tried 2 bluetooth headsets, several USB adapters. Admittedly it was ~1 year ago, hopefully the technology has matured.

I am jealous of your 6820 though, I've had a 6800 for >1 year now & really lke it, it's the only phone I've replaced with the same model😀

I'm using the jabra one....good stuff, use it all the time 🙂

draining on the batterry isn't really noticable...i can walk all across the second floor of my house, and on the stairs, and it's fine 🙂

Awesome. I know that bluetooth is buggy with computers, but this is just for phone to headset, so I wouldn't expect it to be THAT buggy.

I heard plantronics makes the OEM nokia ones, or they had something to do with the jabra ones or something... but anyhow, plantronics is prob the biggest player in the headset market as far as callcenter equipment goes, so I know they are a reputable company.

My house is about 1500 sq ft plus garage, I wonder if I can go all the way accross my house with it...? I suppose I will see come monday! I hope there is a button on it to answer calls so I can have it in my pocket or on my ear and just press the button to answer a call.

I have the jabra BT headset for my phone and it was alright. my main concern was that the BT headset battery was pretty weak. it didn't seem to drain my cell phone battery that much. the call quality was better than i expected but there was a slight echo effect in my voice according to friends.

it's fun to play with but it's nothing i would use again in my new cell phone. not worth the money

i had a Sony Ericsson HBH-35 bluetooth headset that was really good with my SE T616 phone, however it seemed kinda fragile and didn't work after a couple of hard drops on concrete. i recently ordered another Sony Ericsson headset but this time the model is a HBH-660. it's nice since it can display caller ID on it and that way i can just always keep the phone in my pocket and only use the headset. here is a pic http://shopwireless.sonyericss...ories/large/448673.jpg

Yeah, I saw that the batteries for them were rated pretty low, not sure what it is on the one I ordered, but I saw on one of them 150mAh which is nothing, but understandable since its such a small package.

Roughly how long would you say it lasted per charge? It wouldn't be a big deal charging it every or every other day with heavy use.

That's neat, how much is that baby? I bet a lot... I only spent under $40 shipped. And after it stopped working did they cover it under warranty?
