I need to buy a ticket to a friend's wedding in early August and so far the cheapest I've found is $288 on expedia/orbitz/travelocity. Has anyone used priceline and what was your experience? Which airlines are their partner airlines?

Thanks for any help.

I used it for car rental and an airline ticket. I remember that I was pleased, but not the actual price I received.

Priceline is pretty good. It works, but two things you have to remember:

1) They charge your card right away
2) You have no choice over times.

If you are fine with these two, then use it.

I have and they screwed up costing me $1,200, although I disputed it with Amex I'm STILL fighting to get a refund.

For hotels/car rentals I might consider using them but I will NEVER use Priceline for flights ever again.

I'll pay the extra couple bucks and choose my flights/airlines by going through expedia.

They booked me through ATL when I specified and only requested BHM.

I have problems believing that. I bought at least dozen air tickets through priceline, never been booked to airport that i didnt select. There are thousands of people at biddingfortravel.com and none of them been booked through wrong airport. As priceline newbie you selected something wrong

Nope, I even printed out the screens as I went along ... I haven't contacted Priceline yet it's on my long "to do list".

I don't think RossMAN has any reason to lie. It is very possible that they screwed up.

the more time passes the less chance they will even consider looking into it. if its really $1200 small claims court notice would wake up them. you can find someone in CT to file small claims for $10, you dont have to actually go to court they will settle as soon they receive the notice.

That's a last resort for me, there would be no satisfaction if I had to go that route.
