Pedro and you know it. Martinez now leads all active starting pitchers in career winning percentage, earned run average, quality-start percentage, strikeout-walk ratio, hits allowed per nine innings, baserunners per nine innings and opponents batting average and slugging percentage.

Pedro Martinez?!?!? You've got to be kidding me... I mean, in 255 career at bats, he's only hitting 0.098/.140/.125... That's an OPS of .265!!! Man, talk about a crappy hitter!??!?!

:)

Could you imagine what his record the past few years would've been if he'd had the run-support that Clemens and Abbott had? The only knock I can think of for him is his "fragility"... but this past year was the first time he didn't log at least 200 innings since 95, when he had 194... I'm figuring this reputation is partially because he's been the man for the Red Sox... and when he goes down, they suck big time... So, it's more noticable.

I voted for RJ, but it hurts because Im a BoSox fan. When Pedro is healthy, it's a tossup.
Best young pitcher--man, Freddy Garcia in Seattle throws gas, but I got to go with C.C. Sabathia in Cleveland.

Randy Johnson and Clemens are too old, pedro's injuries are going to catch up to him so the obvious conclusion is Schilling

However Roy Oswalt and Mark Mulder are to up and comings who will be in the top 10 of picthers next year...

<< Danny Passner >>

That's the right answer. Did you guys know that when Passner was in second grade, he struck out 2 fifth graders? Their names were Timmy and Joseph. Too bad that he can only play softball now, but he can throw one mean folly floater!

As much as it pains me to vote for someone from boston, the answer is definately pedro. Well who knows, with all this bickering he might not be back in boston :) And as much as I love Rocket, and he definately has had the best career of anybody on that list, he doesn't belong. He is still amazing, but there are much better pitchers out there currently, in fact, he's not even the best on the Yankees. The Moose, should definately be on that list instead of him.

The best pitcher that I've seen pitching in the last few years is Randy Johnson. Mariano Rivera comes pretty close too. Third would be Pedro Martinez
