Hi
I am about to upgrade my computer to Windows XP and will be getting a new video card. I am currentlyi running a V3 3000 with my Hauppague Wincast WinTV pci tuner card. I want to get a Geforce card, preferrably a Geforce 3 Ti200
I checked Hauppauges site for compatibilty of the Geforce cards and it seems that most of the Geforce 2's are compatible, but he Geforce 3 may or may not. It seems that the problem is with the Geforce 3's VIVO and be compatible with the Wincast

So, my question is, is anyone running any Geforce2 or 3 with XP and a Wincast tv tuner card.
If so, please let me know what card you have and whether it has VIVO, TV out only or no TV option on the Geforce at all.
Thanks

I'm running a GF 3 Ti 500 w/TV out (haven't used the TV out function) with a WinTV PCI card on Windows XP without any problems. The only snag you may encounter with the WinTV card is the WinXP drivers. The video capture doesn't work on my system with these drivers but the Win2k drivers do (check for documentation on their web site). If you do have issues with the WinXP drivers then just use the Win2k ones.

HI
I too have the same question as to whether a Geforce 3 with TV out only works with a WinCast TV tuner. I know that the Geforce 3 with VIVO doesn't.
I cant afford the Ti500 and was thinking of getting the Ti200 Geforce 3, the Gainward Cardexpert brand.

Can you tell me please

1. Can you tell me what brand of Geforce 3 you have ?

2. When using the TV to watch TV, does it work well in full screen ?

3. I see that you mention that the Video Capture doesn't work, that part I am not really interested in. Is there any other issue

1. Visiontek Xtasy 6964 GeForce 3 Ti 500 w/TV out and DVI-I.

2. Full screen works fine with both Win2k and WinXP drivers. The WinTV 2000 app is a little buggy under WinXP but works.

3.That was the only issue I had with the XP drivers. Use the Win2k drivers under WinXP and you shoud be ok.
