🙄

Have fun swiping your fingers in shallow kidie games. Fruit Ninja is great fun huh? I can see how that compares to full console games in your hands. BTW I'm not buying a car, I have Roller blades.

You guys know Fruit Ninja will probably come to the Vita at some point, right?

And, whatever, Fruit Ninja is awesome. Also, Jetpack Joyride.

You guys are missing out on some console quality games if you think a Fruit Ninja is the best touch gaming has to offer.

I have the First Edition bundle but I'm not sure that's what I'm sticking with. I'm going to get it one way or another and look forward to have a powerful mobile gaming system with physical controls.

No we aren't. 99 cent phone games is an abyss of crap. Might as well just play free flash games.

"Oh man guys why would I buy actual food when I can get a honey bun for 50 cents from the gas station!"

I will wait and see how it goes.

I am not happy with not being able to play my PSP games. I don't like that its seems likea updated version of PSPgo.

while the hardware is great it needs more then that.

No. I think I'm done with handhelds. I don't travel very much and I haven't been very interested in past portable titles, so it would probably just sit on a shelf with my PSP and DS.

No

It would take every single media outlet to gush at the fantasticness of the device and games for me to even consider it, and truthfully I'd still wait for a price drop. I felt pretty burned by getting a PSP, a device which had a shitty screen with 25ms response time (blurry mess) and a software library that grew at a snails pace. The battery life sounds pretty poor so it's not as portable as it should be. The release titles look like nothing more than remakes of past games on bigger systems. I simply don't understand why anybody would care at all about this thing.

oh gees this!

I have owned EVERY handheld gameing device from teh original Gameboy. I have gotten every version since except the DS 3d.

I got the PSP damn near on launch. i was so excited at what the machine could do. but was sadly let down by how Sony handled it. IF not for the lego games wich my son plays my PSP would be sitting in the closet (where i keep the stuff and the charging stations are).

The PSVita had me excited at first. the hardware is fucking amazing and has a lot of potential. I am not happy that i can't play my PSP games. That seems most games are going to be download (i trade games a lot with friends and members here) only. sure it comes with a mem card reader but haven't seen where it will be on it.

Though i am slightly excited about the potential for mods/hacking. can this be turned inot a cheap tablet? I will give it until summer and by then i might get one.

And they'll both retail at $6.99, seven times what it costs on iOS and Andriod. Seriously, That's how much they want for Cut the Rope on the 3DS eShop.

Like what? Every "console quality" game I've played on iOS or Android isn't, well, "console quality" at all (this excludes ports). They all feel like cheap games at a cheap price trying (and not doing well) to be console quality.

they also control like shit, with a "virtual" dpad on the screen.

Is there any chance that it will be in short supply. I still fondly remember buying and selling all those wiis at launch. Sold enough to get one for free and then some.

Can anyone comment about PS One Classics and the Vita? I believe it was said that they would be playable about a year ago, but while doing some Google searching, I found another article that recently said that they wouldn't be playable at launch. Have I been misguided or is this accurate?

I actually bought FF9 on the PSN Store last night because for some reason I never played it (never figured out why). It would be nice to play it on the Vita when that comes out.

I am really debating this. I don't travel a lot. When I do my netbook and phone is sufficient enough to kill some time. I also plan on getting the next generation iPad whenever it's released so my mobile gaming needs may be covered. If I do end up getting one it will be for games exclusive to that platform. The same reason I ended up buying a DS.

I've watched a few gameplay videos, and I'll raise my level of interest from "no way no how" to "cautiously optimistic with very good reviews of launch titles"

I wonder if we will see a price drop for the Vita like we did with the 3DS. I think the price is pretty reasonable already, but seems like the market for handhelds is shrinking and they may have to drop the price just to ship units.

That's one of the reasons I'm thinking about holding off.

I wonder if Sony could really afford to drop the price much. The components are very iPhone-like (actually slightly better, but close enough), and they cost around $200 or so to make, right?

$160-$180 not including research and all that jazz. They could kick it down to $200 and it might sell a little better than what has happened in Japan.
