My credit card doesn't work, tried to buy the game several times on Steam 🙁

Not coming out locally for another few days! :disgust: Update - I bought it! It's come out here faster than I expected - paid US$38 for it... but I can still participate in the thread as I haven't even opened the box yet 😉

I would love to bypass VU by going Steam, but damn CC won't let me thru :|
 
Computer parts come in today so I can finally fix my computer. Running a P2 233 with 128MB PC100@66 and a 6GB HDD. I'm thinking with his Matrox G100 4MB I could get... -3FPS. Either that or HL2 would come up with an error: Your computer sucks ass please go shoot yourself.

LOL. I've had that thought more than a few times back in Uni. Not just talking about games here, mind you... caved in at the end, more frequently than not.

OT: I just saw the 7th Ep. of LOST the other night and really liked how Charlie was able to overcome his drug addiction. "Life is a series of choices"

OK, that was OT from HL2... but then again, we're IN OT 😛

What kind of system you have?

From what I've heard, it scales down extremely well to "non-cutting-edge" and even "older" systems.
 
Me either....just got back from vacation and I'm just glad to have a system to use again. I'll probably buy it after christmas when the price drops to the $30-$35 level.

Buying hyped games right when they come out is a waste of money IMO. Case in point...Doom 3.
