who's got the best 2d of the Geforce2 Pro's???

none of the nvidia cards have comparable 2d

the best of the lot are Inno3d, visiontek, and elsa

leadtek is pretty good too.

all of this assumes you're on a trinitron screen, and are @ 1280 and above

if you have a shadow mask CRT, and/or use <1280 resolution, then don't worry, the difference is negligible

well let' say i'm on a Sony Trinitron (E400) and run 1024x768, play a few games but want the best bang for the buck!

of the few games I play, UT, EA Sports line, and ability to play new games as they come out...

I have a Matrox G400 though, so I don't want to shell out $200 just to be let down w/ crappy 2d...

now what do you think?

Matrox G400. Ouch. That is a pretty high standard to compare to.

yeah...tell me about it...then you throw in Windows 2000 which the Radeon has crappy drivers for...it looks like to me you have to decide what's important to you and make sacrifices...or be rich and have multiple boxes

really? the radeon win2000 drivers suck? or did you just hear that?

i had a radeon about 3 mos. ago...i forget which driver version but I had all kinds of issues using Win2k...had to dump it...maybe the drivers are better now??
