Who's got 1Ghz?

P3 850@1054, with peltier. I can get it to post at 1133, but it doesn't ever make it into Windows. At 133 mhz FSB, I'm pushing not only my chip but my ram too. Still the chip probably can't handle that speed, even if I had PC133 ram.

Too bad this P3B-F has no FSB settings between 124 and 133.

Anyway, on the topic, my P3 700e cb0 does 1 GHz, but I only run it at 933 right now. It does 933 @ default voltage, & I'm waiting for my Arcticooler to show up before I run it at 1 GHz all the time.

Looks like more AMD'ers are running at 1Ghz and above.

Is that a Slot-A 700 with 900 core? Where did you buy it?
 
Please raise your hands if you're guilty of having 1Ghz and not using all those untapped power for RC5. For me I only have 3/4 of a 1Ghz.

I agree that there seem to be more AMD's hitting a ghz. In fairness though, it is more likely due to the limitation on the P3 core in it's current state. The ones that go over a ghz are usually using a peltier or water cooling etc. Also, you can't ignore that availabilty problem...alot of these AMD's are stock 1ghz or very close, not too many people want to drop the $900+ for a P3 ghz..if they can find one.
 
Intel appears to be in a lot of trouble untill they get their 0.13 micron copper process going.

C'mon guys who else has got 1Ghz? I know more of you are out there.

just hit ghz last week but would rather keep my system alive for a while since i feel and see no difference between 1.001 ghz and 933. And 933 doesn't force your pci devices and stuff to be pushed at all.
