Because the alternative makes those "incompetents" seem very competent indeed.

Mega dittos. Republican is the only way to go. Until they are no longer the right-wing party I'll be voting straight ticket till death do us part.

I dont describe myself as Republican, or Conservative.
Right wing. Fond of both some neoconservative and paleoconservative views, but mostly neoconservative because I believe the world is best off with us as the dominant power (rather than Islamic Fascism, or China).

There is no avoiding war; it can only be postponed to the advantage of others. -Niccolo Machiavelli

Bush is the man for the job. And the Republicans have done as well as possible, given the circumstances. 4.6% unemployment. http://www.bls.gov/ Looks good to me! The economy is right on track and thats the most important thing. Cant feed liberals their free money programs without hard working Republicans to pay for them!

Just what we need right now is socialized healthcare to destroy the USA, mix in a pullout on the War on Terror for even MORE deaths in the mideast (and damage American image and power more than anything else could, yup.. even more than the hated BUSHZORZ) and you have yourself a Democratic/Leftists agenda.

Oh wait, they dont really HAVE an agenda.. not one they want public.. sucks to be a socialist in America. :( Doh!

The Blame America First, and Hate America Left actually makes a LOT of sense though.

If I were a socialist, taking down the USA would be my main goal to.
PS. Running on a anti-Bush platform wont work. They tried that in '04.
In case you dont remember, Kerry was a miserable failure.

Have a good day! :) Everyday PRESIDENT Bush is in office I have a smile on my face. :)

GOD Bless him and God Bless America! :D

 Best parody post I have ever read.

What railer was (I assume) saying is that the problem is single-issue pro-life voters (and pro-choice voters for that matter).

Exactly. If you're not sophisticated enough to look at a myriad of different issues, please don't vote. Abortion should be one issue out of 1000's that any intelligent person should consider.

Daniel49, if you can't see that Gore's policies are far, far, far better than Bush's, then the discussion has little room for any use.

If you could ariculate exactly why Gore's policies are worse than Bush's in your view for discusson, that could help. I've yet to see it.

All I see from the right on the subject are regurgitated Rush and Sean propaganda. Presumably because people who look at the issues more probably are on Gore's side.

Craig, it is hard to talk about Gore since it has been 6 years since he ran and most of us forgot whatever it was he stood for. Plus the world changed on 9-11 so a lot of Gore's views would have to be restated.

Now Hillary... well look at her Senate record and all the great laws and bills she has introduced to make this country a better place..... hmmmm I'll have to get back to you on that once she actually introduces a bill worth talking about.

What does she think of Iraq "?I do not think it is a smart strategy either for the president to continue with his open-ended commitment which I think does not put enough pressure on the Iraqi government, nor do I think it is a smart policy to set a date certain.? -Well that clears things up.

John Kerry... well he just lost two years ago, don't think much has changed since then, doubt he would win if he ran again.

Howard Dean????? Scary... you trying to keep us awake at night?

Stupid people - really, really stupid people.
It must be that condecending, elitist attitude that keeps winning elections for you guys. :disgust:

The funniest part about the upcoming elections... The part that amuses me the most... if the Dems win it will have taken a total failure (implosion?) of the Republicans on every level. A failed policy in Iraq. North Korea with Nukes. Iran about to get nukes. Tapped phones. Torture in 'Gitmo. Renditions. Gay sex with interns. Squandering of whatever good will we had in the world. Ballooning national debt. Etc... Etc...

And if they can't win after all of that... If they don't have a message that drives people to vote for them AFTER ALL OF THAT... It speaks volumes about what a failed party the Ds really are. The mere fact that the congress is still in play is almost unfathomable to me. By all rights the Rs should get absolutely smashed in November. And the best the Ds are going to do (or even hope for) is barely take control.

And you call the Republicans stupid. Heh.

Damn straight!
The Republicans are way smarter when it comes to politics.

Iraq is a total disaster -- true, but a dem would pull out immediately, thus wreaking worse disaster

Iran is enriching uranium -- would've happened regardless of pres., except with a dem, Iran would have a peace symbol w/ flowers on their nukes as a gag.

NK got their bomb -- ditto

National security is pres's strength? -- Don't tell me you're blaming 9/11 on 'ol G.W.

Seems like we're much worse off with respect to the "axis of evil" -- "Bring 'em on, I prefer a straight fight."

Osama and his motley crew are free too. -- like any previos pres. even came close to getting him

That is why I vote GOP

abortion!

Nothing gets the nuts out faster than abortion!

If Hitler came back from the dead and were up for election, and he was opposed to abortion, the crackpots and jesus freaks would be out it droves to vote for him.... and these same mental midgets will vote for Bush too.....at any cost.
We do we say that people who vote pro-life are nuts? What is wrong with wanting to prevent a baby from being killed before it can be born?

Ps. I am by no means a pro-lifer myself. I am happy with the status quo, althought would like to see partial birth go away and would like to see us put more effort in offering people alternatives to abortion.

Well, one thing is for sure... WE all know who you are gonna vote for...

and your alternatives to abortion is called a condom. Ten cent solution that the person your worship can't figure out... oh well!!!

Yeah, I am sure with all the money Bush has spent on his plan for "alternatives" you are pretty proud of him for that I suppose.

Deal with it, you will vote for another idiot. Did in the past twice I am sure you will do it again....No hope for you really or Pabster or nutz...

She really seems like a dangerous person to me. I am not especially enthusiastic about Patti Wetterling (though I've met her several times, and she seems like a nice person), who I don't consider a strong candidate, but Bachmann is pure evil. In my own (Fifth) district, Keith Ellison will win easily. I can't say I'm a fan, but I guess I'll probably vote for him.

Yes Bachman, a small govt minded republican. Those are the types I like.

FYI for those of you who are not Minnesotans, this is the good Ms. Bachmann. It literally boggles my mind that such a radical religious conservative might hold a Congressional seat representing my state. She belongs in Florida or Mississippi, not Minnesota. Frankly I think Patti Wetterling is a bit of a lightweight, but Bachmann is pure evil.

That's like watching an instant replay of Katherine Harris in Florida.
Does she have a sister that a house fell on too?
