I'm going to watch it at the movie theatre :D

I haven't seen Raw or Smackdown much in the last 2 weeks.

I know DDP is the Undertaker's stalker (is that match tonight?)

Someone fill me in on other important details.

*clears throat*

Since winning the tag team titles against the team of Austin and Triple H three weeks ago on RAW, Benoit and Jericho have been elevated into the main event. Commisioner Regal originally wanted Austin vs. Jericho, but Linda McMahon came in and said that it'd only be fair if it were Benoit/Jericho against Austin in a Triple Threat match.

Austin however thought it was very unfair of this to take place and even made a petition for everyone to sign. Howver once he asked Spyke Dudley to sign it, he called Molly a bimbo, causing Spyke to rip it up. This would lead to a short Austin/Spyke feud, in which big brother Dudleyz got involved asking why Spyke got a match for the title after having been there for a very short period while the Dudleyz have been there for much longer. That ultimately leads to the Dudleyz vs. Spike + mystery partner. Perhaps it'll be another Dudley from ECW? Big Dick Dudley?

And also there's going to be a "Street Fight" between Angle and Shane. Angle was reacting his olympic gold medal winning ceremony as he had beaten Benoit for them the night earlier at Judgment Day. Shane however interrupted him and talked about "his" new WCW. Angle proceeded to to Angle Slam Shane off the 3-person podium thing, leaving Shane down and Angle happy. The feud wasn't done yet though, as Angle interfered in a Jericho/Angle match, giving Jericho the win. Angle then challenged Shane to a street fight with Shane, with Vince's full approval. There's a very SMALL rumor out that Goldberg is there, which probably is NOT going to happen, but I do see one or two WCW guys getting involved in that match.

As for DDP/UT, DDP says he will be at the Continental Airlines Arena (I think that's where it is) but I don't think an "official" match will take place. I imagine this feud will go on to next month's PPV, Invasion.

There's also the King of the Ring itself, in which the final four are Edge/Christian/Angle/Rhyno. Angle could have up to three matches tonight, and I don't see him winning all three. He's already won it last year so he doesn't really "need" to win again this year so the odds are against him. I see an Edge/Christian final, which will lead to the break up of their team.

And also of note, Smackdown ended with Vince telling Austin that if he loses their relationship would be over. Whether this will lead Austin to turn back into a good guy I don't know, but I hope they don't so he could feud with Rock when he gets back.

And...even bigger news is that Benoit will be out of action after the match is over, and MAY require neck surgery. I think they'll sell his injury during the match, taking him out, and he might go back in only to injure himself further, and then that'll leave Jericho/Austin, and possibly, Jericho will win--but may lose it back the next night.

If you have cable, then you should tune into the channel that the PPV will be on (or 101 if you have DirecTV), and it'll give you clips and highlights..especially the cool cage match between Angle/Benoit.

I thought Goldberg still was bound under that contract with whoever it was he was bound to?

And Austin suddenly turning face again seems highly unlikely. With all the stuff he's done as of late, (remember on Smackdown - he beat the crap out of Michael Cole) it'd be hard for him to suddenly turn face. And with Triple H out of the lineup, there isn't any major heel left in the WWF except for Angle.

Diamond Dallas Page made his way to the ring through the crowd with a sign in hand. Page called off security and told the Undertaker that he had arrived. DDP said the footage he had shown of Undertaker's wife, Sara, was rated PG. The stuff in his personal collection gets more than just a thumbs up. He said he would beat the Undertaker's ass in his own yard, and tomorrow night, he will be the first WCW star to enter Madison Square Garden on RAW. He showed off a ticket, and said he would be sitting in the front row all night with a sign, which said "Make Me Famous!"

Heyman and JR went over the rumor announced on Heat that Jericho and Benoit have been secretly negotiating with WCW again.

King of the Ring Semi-Final Match
Kurt Angle d. Christian with help from Shane McMahon to advance to the final round
Christian stepped in the ring and set off to an early advantage, hammering Angle into the corner. Angle fought out and hit a rough looking bodyslam, following it up with body shots. Into the corner, Angle ran and caught the turnbuckles. Christian hit the ropes and landed a neckbreaker to get the first two count. Angle soon went for the ankle lock, but Christian countered. Angle caught a belly-to-belly overhead suplex, knocking Christian to the floor. Outside, Angle delivered a beating while fans yelled at him. Christian got his licks in after slamming Angle's head into the steps. Back inside, Christian went up top and was caught by Angle, who threw him into the safety barrier.

Angle was in firm control after Christian's second spill to the floor. After a barrage of several different types of suplexes, Christian picked up a second wind with a heel kick. Shane McMahon, sporting a WCW t-shirt, approached the ring. Angle's attention was distracted to Shane, and he missed a moonsault due to stalling. Angle locked on the ankle lock seconds later. Christian made it to the ropes and went for a pin, but Shane pulled Christian off of Angle! Angle blasted out an Olympic Slam to win!

Backstage, Steve Austin talked to Debra. Austin was asked for his thoughts on his match. Instead, Austin asked where Vince McMahon was. The Coach informed Austin that Vince wouldn't be in the building tonight. Austin said Vince was just picking. Coached asked about the rumor going around that if Benoit or Jericho win, they will go to WCW. Austin had a look of shock on his face.

Dallas Page was interviewed from ringside by Paul Heyman. Heyman said Page's actions were a bit brazen. Page said he had big balls since he was going after Undertaker. Footage rolled of Page being stalked himself in a restaurant. DDP was put on the defensive, saying he didn't find it funny and didn't like his personal life becoming public.

King of the Ring Semi-Final Match
Edge d. Rhyno to advance to the final round
Rhyno spat his chewing gum in Edge's face, starting the match. Edge hit a spinning heel kick, but fell into a reverse elbow by Rhyno. Rhyno stood on the ring apron and was dropkicked to the floor. Edge settled in for an attack, which was promptly reversed by Rhyno. Edge regained the upper hand by slamming Rhyno nut-first into the barrier. The brawl continued outside between both until the referee forced it to end. Rhyno loosened a turnbuckle, taking the cover off. Edge was run into the exposed steel, sternum-first. Rhyno continued with the advantage, using moves to work on Edge's injured ribs after the turnbuckle shot.

Rhyno went to the top rope and hammered Edge with a huge splash. Edge was able to kick out and change the pace, sending Rhyno throat-first into the ropes. He hit a neckbreaker and went up top, but Rhyno caught him. Rhyno went for a superplex and Edge reversed it into a sunset flip. Rhyno called for the gore, and went for it?only to be met with an Edge spear! Both men went down for the obligatory ten count. Rhyno went for a cover but it wasn't enough. Rhyno went for the gore again and hit the exposed turnbuckle. Edge hit the impaler to score an upset.

Backstage, Spike stood with Molly and announced he had a tag team partner. He wouldn't reveal who it is, saying it is a big surprise. Buh Buh and D-Von approached, saying it couldn't be Molly, because she was a disappointment. D-Von said Spike has been a disappointment to the Dudley family since day one.

Backstage, Tazz interviewed Chris Jericho about the WCW defection rumor. Jericho said WCW may not be so bad after all and would say no more about the situation.

Tag Team Championships
The Dudley Boys d. Spike Dudley & Kane
Spike's tag partner was Kane, which surprised D-Von and Buh Buh Ray. Spike ran into the ring and got his ass handed to him, until Kane became the equalizer and took both Dudleys off their feet. Spike got his shots in, particularly on Buh Buh, hitting him with a hurricanrana. Buh Buh and Kane tossed Spike around until Buh Buh capsized, allowing Spike a two count. Kane tagged in and hit D-Von with a legdrop.

Spike became legal again and fell victim to a double team by his brothers. The crowd was still solidly behind D-Von and Buh Buh, as they were chanting for tables. Kane saved Spike numerous times from being pinned. Finally, Kane got the hot tag and sent both opponents to the mat. Kane used Spike as a missile, throwing him from inside the ring out on top of the Dudleys. Spike hit the Dudley Dog on Buh Buh. Close, but no cigar, as D-Von saved Buh Buh. Spike missed a Dudley Dog on D-Von, and fell into a 3D. Buh Buh got he pin.

After the match, D-Von got a table. Kane chokeslammed Buh Buh through it.

Backstage, Christian wished Edge good luck in his KOTR final match against Angle. Edge was surprised at Christian's words.

More stalking footage of Dallas Page was shown. Page bitched about his private life being exposed.

At WWF New York, former King of the Ring Billy Gunn was asked for his predictions. Gunn said he didn't give a crap about who won because he was stuck at WWFNY, not in the tournament at all.

King of the Ring Final
Edge d. Kurt Angle with help from Shane McMahon to become the 2001 King of the Ring
Before the match, Angle apologized for getting mad at Edge last week. Both men shook hands, to which Angle asked Edge to lay down for him since he has a street fight with Shane later tonight! Edge gave his answer in the form of a punch.

Edge sent Angle cowering into the corner, hitting several kicks. Angle reversed the situation for a short while, and then both men exchanged a series of punches. Angle hit a belly-to-belly suplex on Edge from inside the ring, tossing him to the floor! Outside, Angle worked on Edge's already injured ribs, tossing him into the steps. Back inside, Angle used a calculated strategy to wear down Edge. Despite numerous attempts to battle back, Angle kept Edge solidly grounded with traditional wear-down maneuvers.

A second spill was taken outside. By this time, Angle had a busted lip, but still maintained control of the match. Angle made his mistake by going up top, where he was met with a dropkick form Edge. Edge hit a hurricanrana that seemed to hurt himself more than Angle. Both men traded a series of punches that ended with Edge catapulting Angle into the turnbuckle. Angle locked on the ankle lock soon after but Edge got out. Christian ran down and distracted the referee while Edge had the pin! The referee took a bump from an inadvertent Edge clothesline. Angle put on the ankle lock. Edge tapped out, but no referee was there to see it. Shane McMahon came out of the crowd and speared Angle. Edge hit the impaler to win! Shane ran off celebrating. Edge looked injured after the match, holding his leg.

Backstage, Tazz asked Chris Benoit about the defection rumor. Benoit said that was a good question, but offered no answer.

Shots of DDP were shown in the crowd, looking around very nervously.

Backstage, Edge said he reeked of royalty. Christian congratulated him and said he was going to get some balloons to celebrate.

Backstage, Kurt Angle told security that if WCW wrestlers interfered in his match tonight, he would make sure they no longer had a life.

Lightweight Championship
Jeff Hardy d. X-Pac
JR announced the other members of the Hardy Boys and X-Factor were not allowed at ringside. X-Pac took the early advantage, but Hardy turned the tide with an armdrag. Outside, Hardy launched off the security barrier on to X-Pac with a suicide dive. Jeff tried a corkscrew plancha off the top and missed. X-Pac hit some high-risk moves of his own, sending Hardy to the floor. X-Pac hit his usual barrage of spinning heel kicks. He went for the bronco buster and missed. X-Pac scored the win after the X-Factor, but the referee noticed Hardy's foot on the rope and rejected the premature win. Jeff followed for the legit win after a swanton.

The next WWF pay-per-view was advertised as "Fully Loaded," not Invasion?

In Commissioner Regal's office, he and Tajiri were talking about the incredible KOTR tournament. Austin barged in and used the phone, calling Vince. Austin informed Vince of the WCW defection rumor going around. Regal had to confirm that Austin was telling the truth. Austin said he needed Vince, and ordered him to get to the arena. Apparently, Vince agreed to come.

More shots of a nervous DDP were shown, along with more stalking footage? Page got fed up and entered the ring for a second time. He called out Undertaker, and more stalker footage was shown. Sara appeared on camera, and told Page it was time for him to become famous.

Undertaker came to the ring and stopped before entering, putting his BIGBADGLOVESON! Ooohhh? Finally, the brawl began. And it was just that, a brawl. Undertaker beat the living hell out of Page with rights and lefts. Page struck back with a low blow. That didn't stop 'Taker, as he sent Page to the floor and continued to kick ass. Sara came down with a camera and filmed Page getting his ass handed to him. DDP shot out of the timekeeper's area with a chair, hitting 'Taker. But there was no stopping Undertaker tonight, as he ransacked Page over top of the US announce table, taking out JR and Heyman in the process.

Back in the ring, it was more of the same. Undertaker gave Sara a close up of the proceedings. Page called for time. Time out for a kick in the face. DDP ran out into the crowd and left. Buh Bye.

Backstage, Austin waited for Vince to arrive. He asked a security guy how long it took to get from Greenwich to the building. He replied about an hour and a half. He told the security guy to inform him when Vince arrives.

Funny sign behind the security guy's head: Keep this door closed. You open it, you lose.

Street Fight
Kurt Angle d. Shane McMahon
Angle charged at Shane and hit one hell of a spear. Two suplexes followed until Shane made it to the ropes, getting out of Angle's grasp. Angle's furious pace continued, taking down Shane numerous times. Shane got in a bit of offense by tripping up Angle. Angle's head was busted open. Shane retreated outside to regroup.

As Shane re-entered the ring, Angle was in an amateur wrestling stance and challenged Shane. Shane accepted, to which Angle demonstrated his expertise to the fullest. Angle held a suplex clinic, taking Shane up and over several times. Angle got in the amateur stance a second time, but this time, Shane was smarter and opted to kick Angle in the ribs. McMahon had a busted mouth. Shane hit a series of clotheslines before Angle pounded out another suplex. Shane spun around while about to take another suplex, dumping Angle to the floor. The chase was on, and Shane outran Angle. Shane stopped and launched off the barrier, jumping over JR and Heyman on to Angle! Shane pulled a kendo stick from beneath the ring. He nailed Angle in the midsection and over the back until it shattered.

Angle charged at Shane and ran right into the ringpost. Shane speared Angle into the steps. Back inside, Shane attempted the pinfall, but each time, Angle bridged with authority. Shane got a trashcan and various other plunder. Angle was whacked a few times with a sign. Angle retaliated with a missed enziguri. Shane locked Angle in his own ankle lock, to which Angle countered with a fierce mule kick. Shane put on a sharpshooter. Angle made it to the ropes. Ultimately, he got out by using a kendo stick.

Both men made it to their feet and Shane took down Angle with a straight right hand. Shane repeatedly hit Kurt with a trashcan. He sat the can on top of Angle's chest, and went to the top rope. McMahon flew off with a shooting star press, but Angle moved, leaving him to hit the trashcan. Angle dumped Shane to the floor and brawled with him up the entrance way. Shane took a hard shot into the side of the humongous electric chair prop. Angle suplexed Shane right into a piece of metal?holy sh!t, what a hard shot. Angle did it again, and for a reason - it wasn't a piece of metal, it was a piece of glass! Shane shattered through, and Angle was busted open everywhere. Shane was bleeding from ear to ear. Angle suplexed Shane a second time onto one of the partitions - smearing blood everywhere, but not breaking it. Angle suplxed Shane again! AGAIN! It finally broke, so total it up: Shane goes through two glass partitions. Angle went for the pinfall outside, but the referee instructed him he could only win in the ring. Angle slipped all over the shards of glass. Blood went everywhere. Angle took an anvil case and sat Shane on top of it, carting him toward the ring. Seriously, Angle was a bloody mess. It was running all down his arms and Shane looked even worse.

Finally, Angle made it with Shane to the ring and went for the pin, but Shane kicked out! Shane low blowed Kurt. Trashcan lid shots from McMahon. Olympic suplex by Shane. Angle kicked out. Angle catapulted Shane into the ringpost. Angle took a huge piece of wood and just hammered the hell out of Shane. Angle set up the wood on the top rope, standing on top?He Angle slammed Shane off the unsteady piece of wood, eliciting a "Holy sh!t! Holy sh!t!" chant from the crowd! Angle covered Shane and won!

Angle was carted out of the arena with a glazed look in his eye. Shane was helped out to a huge reaction from the crowd. One hell of a match.

Backstage, Austin found out that Vince had not arrived, and it was time for his match?

World Championship
Steve Austin d. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho
Austin got a bigger reaction from the crowd than Benoit and Jericho combined. And it was positive. Austin stalled before entering the ring, buying time for Mr. McMahon to arrive. Jericho and Benoit had enough of the waiting, and stormed Austin outside the ring in a double team. Austin ran into the crowd with his opponents in chance, getting ganged up on the outside. Austin took care of Jericho with a back body drop, but couldn't shake off Benoit.

In the ring, Jericho and Benoit pounded knife-edge chop after chop onto Austin's chest. Finally, the breakdown of the Chrisses began as Benoit went for a pin and Jericho pulled him off. Austin saw his chance and capitalized, suplexing Jericho. However, Benoit and Jericho once again worked together as a team, sending Austin into the corner for another beating. Jericho went for a heel kick and missed, as Austin ducked and Benoit was clobbered. Jericho went to check on Benoit, and attacked him. Benoit fired back as Austin took a turnbuckle cover off. Into the ropes, Jericho caught Austin with the Walls of Jericho. Benoit ran in and broke the hold. Benoit suplexed Jericho with authority to the floor, right on his head. Benoit locked the crossface on Austin. The champion made it to the ropes, breaking the lock. Benoit and Austin had a long exchange while Jericho recovered on the floor after the hellacious suplex. Outside, Austin slammed Benoit's head into the steps and taunted him with the WWF title belt.

Jerihco slowly attempted to re-enter the ring, only to be knocked off the apron when Austin ran Benoit into him. Austin went for the stunner on Benoit, but Benoit shot him into the ropes, taking out the referee. Benoit then stunned Austin and covered him, but the referee was out and couldn't count the winning pin. When the referee awoke, it was too late. Benoit got the WWF title belt and smashed Austin. Another two count when Jericho interfered. The two partners engaged each other outside, and Jericho effectively wished Benoit a good evening by catapulting him into the ringpost.

It was Jericho's turn alone with Austin. Austin quickly tried to put Jericho in the Walls of Jericho, but Chris countered. Jericho went for the move himself but could not cinch it in. Benoit lay in pain outside. Austin put Jericho in a sleeper. Jericho got out and caught several clotheslines on Austin, and stifled Benoit as he attempted to get back into the match. As Jericho went for a lionsault, Austin put his knees up and blocked it. Austin missed another stunner attempt and hit a Thez press. Benoit got a chair and went to hit Austin, but hit Jericho. Austin stunned Benoit, who fell outside the ring.

Austin covered Jericho after the shot, but he kicked out. Austin superplexed Jericho off the top. Another. Austin only picked up a two count. Benoit re-entered the picture and hit FIVE (5) German suplexes on Austin. Believe it or not, the crowd started a "We want Vince!" chant. Jericho got the Walls of Jericho on Austin. Benoit locked on the crossface simultaneously! Austin tapped, but who won?! Benoit and Jericho argued over who won. The referee said there can only be one winner, so the match has to go on.

Benoit put Jericho in the crossface! Jericho got out and traded chops with Benoit, until Benoit hit a snap suplex. Austin retrieved a chair. Benoit dropkicked it in his face! Jericho dumped Benoit outside. Suddenly, Booker T ran out of the crowd and axe kicked Austin! Booker sidewalked slammed Austin through the announce table! Security quickly chased Booker away.

Meanwhile, in the ring?Benoit German suplexed twice until Jericho countered and put him in the Walls of Jericho! Benoit made it to the ropes. Up top Benoit went, where he was caught and launched off by Jericho. Lionsault by Jericho, and a botched one at that. Both men fell to the floor, where Austin was still out after the Booker T table slam. To add insult to injury, Jericho pounded on an unconscious Austin with part of the announce table. Jericho placed Austin into the ring and climbed up top. Moonsault was hit, but Benoit broke up any pinfall aspirations Jericho had. Up top for Benoit, who hammered the headbutt. Jericho pulled the referee out of the ring. Benoit and Jericho at it again - belly-to-back suplex off the top by Benoit. Austin came alive and tried to pin Benoit and got it!

Here's the Cliff's Notes version:

Matt Hardy b Justin Credible to keep European title when Lita interfered and the twist of fate finisher. Better than average match.

They are pushing the idea that if Benoit or Jericho win the title, that they'll jump to WCW tomorrow night at MSG.

Page is out to start the show. He's sitting in the front row till the angle takes place.

Dudleys will defend against Spike and the dreaded mystery partner later.

Angle vs. Christian up first. Angle won with the Angle slam with outside help from Shane McMahon. All the pieces are starting. Good match.

Edge vs. Rhyno is next. Edge won with the implant DDT. Not as good as previous bout. Still pretty solid match.

Dudleys vs. Spike & Kane for tag titles is next. 3-D on Spike for the win. Kane put Bubba through the table after.

Angle vs. Edge next. KOR finals are the fourth match in the mid-card. Actually fitting if you think about. Hey, did anyone who ever won the King of the Ring even enter it the next year? And didn't Bret Hart repeat. Anyway, Edge won KOR when Shane McMahon speared Angle after a ref bump. That makes two McMahons that have taken down Angle.

Jeff Hardy vs. X-Pac up next. Jeff won with the swanton. There hasn't been a bad match so far,but there hasn't been a very good match yet either.

Doing more DDP stuff. Sara was stalking DDP. Taker vs. Page is next.

They had a 5:40 brawl and Page ran away. If they don't do anything more with this tonight, well, there's nothing left to say. After all the hype, pretty much a nothing match.

Shane vs. Angle is next. Easily blew away everything on the show. Angle won with an Olynpic slam while standing on a board set up on the top rope. Went 26 minutes. Shane went through broken glass twice. WWF can never criticize Big Japan or CZW with those guys rolling around on glass. Angle's back was all cut up.

Austin won the title bout. Benoit & Jericho with help from Booker T couldn't do it. Another very long match. Nearly 30 minutes. Benoit used a backward superplex on Jericho. Austin was in the knocked out after a moonsault and diving head-butt. Austin crawled over on Benoit to get the pin.

Speculation from the Torch:

"From looking at the three wrestlers after the match, you'd think they were either paralyzed or suffering from stingers. They either did a great job selling the beatings or they came out of it really hurt. Austin especially appeared to have suffered a stinger. His arm was twitching, as if it went numb."

Hmm..

Indeed.

And all they need is for two guys to ram each other through REAL glass plates, one being one of your top 3-4 guys in the business..

Eek.

Benoit has been diagnosed with a blocked nerve in his C7 vertebra and he'll be having surgery to fix it later this week. It's unknown if he'll be at Raw or Smackdown. It first started giving him problems after the TLC 3 match and has caused weakness in his right arm, forcing him to alter his style slightly over the past few weeks. He's been told that he needs to get it fixed right away or the damage might be irreparable. Yikes.

Damn just got back watching it at my friend's house....Awesome as hell!!! Shane/Angle was so much better than I expected. Those bumps that Shane always takes are unbelievable.
The main event was awesome too. I was hoping that they'd give the title to Jericho, but in the back of my mind I knew they were going to leave it with Austin. It's cool Booker interfered and beat up Austin. I hope they do an Austin/Booker main event at Invasion. Should be cool seeing both champs going against each other

"Kurt Angle and Steve Austin were both taken to the hospital after the show tonight.

"Angle is believed to have suffered a broken tailbone in the very dangerous match with Shane McMahon, and was taken in to get X-rays. Austin suffered a hand injury when Booker T threw him too far over the table and he tried to stop his momentum with his hand. His hand swelled up badly after the match and he was also taken in for X-rays."

<< So, is this some kinda soap opera or what? >>

Yes, it is.

Yeah, the Shane/Angle match was absolutely incredible, I just wish that when they attempt crazy spots like tossing someone through a window they would only try ONCE, not like 3 or 4 times. The first attempt by Angle to Belly-to-Belly Shane over his head and through was just SICK the way Shane landed on his noggin. They're both real performers, and from the sounds of it Angle is one of the only Main Eventers that is going to be around for the next few months! They're going to have to bring it down a notch otherwise they'll have nobody left and they'll have to bring the Rock back in sooner.

On another note, WCW Raw should be a good show...

i was at KOTR last night... and it was great, until the main event. those bumps that shane took on the glass were botched. the glass was supposed to break right away not stayfast and make shane land on his head.

but the end of the main event was lame. freakin' hated it. hmm... benoit pulls an awesome move off the top rope and then... apparently it hurt him more than the fella he was doing it to...because he gets pinned by a very cheap... 'im gonna roll over and pin you now'

main events shouldnt end that way.

hell, smackdown matches shouldnt end that way.
