Hey i think i going to the Micro Center near me in PA. Who else is going and which store are you going to?
You can check their inventory online and reserve the item to pickup in the store.

The socket 1155 processors aren't showing up on their site yet, so how do you reserve?
I think that someone else here indicated that the in-store pickup service doesn't apply to promotional items, which this deal may fall under. I'm still going to try in any event, but I'm not holding my breath.
Are the unlocked versions of the CPUs only going to be available for a limited time, or did I misread that?
This is not a limited run, and from what I hear, its very likely MC will run that special deal for a long time.
I have better things to do with my day that drive 35 mins one way just to "hope" that they have one in stock when I arrive
I bought my Q9550 which was on sale sometime ago by reserving (also paid) online from Microcenter, Cambridge MA. But there was a long queue for picking up in the store. I would check online first. But you might be right if the demand is too high.
My understanding is that the unlocked K-series will always be available.

No, purchasing them online for shipping to you doesn't apply to promotional items. You can get all the limit-1 $200 Core i7 950 you want for in-store pickup. :whiste:
Actually, brings up another point... they "limit 1" promotional priced items, but don't always seem to enforce that limit. However, I think they might since these are just being launched.
Which is too bad because I'd want two 2500K chips, one to upgrade wife's rig and one for my LAN party rig.
I'm planning to go there tomorrow. Since it is quite a drive I do hope they have them - I'm reserving them for pick-up service.
Or the wife![]()
