Up until Moto 36 - the watch shown in Google's new developer video(among other places) - I wasn't really interested.

Now I am. I haven't yet decided - and I'm leaning towards waiting another year - but I am definitely a fence-sitter at the moment. I'm waiting for a more in-depth look at battery life, actual functionality with the new wearables-focused Android, how the screen is, durability etc.

On all these fronts, the recent "smartwatches" were just stunted smartphones in a miniformat with the exception of a few, like Pebble, who knew what they were doing.

Now things have changed. But I still need more information and a much deeper look into the new watches to make up my mind. But it's exciting, for sure.

Or to put it this way: even if I don't get one this year, I will likely within the next two.

I'm another for the maybe camp.

Like many others, I wasn't interested until the Moto 360. I refuse to purchase a "watch" that looks ... well ... like current smart watches look.

That being said, there is something to be said for having a nice mechanical watch whose lifespan you can measure in decades. I doubt you'll be passing down many smartwatches.

Yeah... that's about what I expected. Zero utility for me. I don't like wearing watches when I'm actually active, and don't feel like I need to keep track of how many steps I took or any of that crap.

Also, the Moto one that looks like it might be nice is huge! I'd never want to wear that thing... it's like 1/2" thick
