Who's afraid to visit stores on Black Friday?

Legions of Mini Vans... coupon crazed soccer moms, obliterating anything and anyone in their path. Agony, defeat, with a potential deal or two mixed in. Playing in an NFL game would be a lot safer than going to the early bird sales against Soccer Mom Bertha.

I wonder what happens when soccer moms descent on BB at 1AM only to find 150 people already in line?

I can't think of a deal this year worth camping out all night for. To be honest, I can't think of anything worth camping out all night for. But hey, whatever keeps your boat afloat.

I'm going to avoid driving anywhere on BF. Just going to relax at home play some NWN2 and wash my car (if the weather is good again)

There's no way Im waiting in any long line or camping out. Id rather shell out an extra $200 on a widescreen monitor than wait in line.

I'm working tomorrow (IT support). Although there is a Circuit City near my work. I was tempted to pop in there around 9:30am and try to get in on the free game with Xbox 360 purchase, but I doubt I'll have any luck.

I'd have to save a lot of money to brave the crowds on BF, and there aren't enough expensive things I want to justify it. The only store I really want to hit is EB Games to see if they have any nunchuks. I expect bad traffic, but it's only a mile away so I'm considering riding my bike.

Nunchuks? That has possibilities.

Yeah, well I don't like crowds and I figure a set of nunchucks would be pretty good for clearing out some space around me.

<--- Raises hand. The amount of $$$ saved doesn't justify the stress, hassle, etc. I am staying clear.

Back when Doom first came out I realized I might be playing a bit too much when I was shuffling through a packed mall and thought "The chaingun sure would be handy".

Agreed. Nothing is really worth it this year, as a matter of fact nothing has really ever been worth it...

Well every year I've typically got up around 3 am and waited in line... and every year I don't walk away with the things that I want, because there's almost always 50 people in line who got up earlier, or didn't get up at all. It gets ridiculous at what some people go through, just for a sale.

I'm looking at best buy's flyer for this year... and while they have an awesome sale, I know that any attempt in getting anything I want from that sale will be futile thanks to the hundreds of insomniacs/soccer moms. And even then, there's just not much of a reason this year to wake up early. So I'll be sleeping in.

I just wish that online stores would have some decent deals, oh well.

I'm staying well clear of any shopping areas. I will probably go for a nice long hike in the hills with my dog. The pleasure I get from that is worth more than any amount of $$ I'd save from the sales.

Last year, at CompUSA, couple of people got injured because of the madness when the doors opened up.
