Whoooooo DONE with my undergraduate career!

gopunk

Lifer
took me 5.5 years due to changes of major, but i'm done! took my last final this morning. all i have to do is wrap up some research by the end of the month, but for all intents and purposes, i'm done!

B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington

3.6 gpa rounded up, would have been 3.8 or so if it weren't for my freshmen and sophomore years

looking back, it was a pretty good time... most important lessons learned:

1. how to learn (what works best for me, honing those skills)
2. the self is the biggest constraint
3. preparation is often key... bullsh!tting only gets you so far
4. if you want something, it helps to know how to get it, and then take the necessary steps

what do i plan on doing now that i'm out? sleep... read... sleep... and sleep

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU MADE IT!

SERIOUSLY, I AM YELLING BECAUSE I WANT TO ATRRACT A CROWD> YOU DESERVE A NICE ROUND OF APPLAUSE

<--on his way to getting hsi A.S> , his B.S. and his phD 😀...one day😀

Congrats, giving my senior project presentation and walking out of my last final, knowing I was finally done was one of the best, and most relieving feelings ever. It seriously took me about a month to get used to it though. I always had that feeling that there was some homework, research, paper I should be doing.

hooray, now you're one of the unemployed masses!

not for long, starting up a software company with my friends 🙂

what kinda software?

software that'll make it easier for people to plan and share their lives with friends and family (and coworkers) 🙂

so first product we were thinking of is a good calendaring application for small organizations that don't have the resources for exchange / oraclecalendar

asp based? well we were going to make desktop + web clients... and yea, there are a lot of existing products, but none of them really do a great job imo (if you know any good ones, i'd love to hear about them!). the first one will be more like ical for windows, then we'll do some more innovative stuff once we have some cashflow.

if you and your friends are looking for something a little more stable, let me know mysef and several other groups are hiring in Amazon and we are always looking for fresh talent from UW
