Lots of you know all the hell I been through over the years, this year the state of TN decided to take my health insurance away, and my biological son, claiming Im not disabled because they sent my case to another place for evaluation, and they went to only one of my doctors out of the what, 6-8 I have taking care of me, and said I am perfectly healthy, nothing wrong, I been lying to them over all these years, so they wanted to sue me, and return all I got from them in food stamps, and health benifits, along with bills they paid out. SO I fought it with help of my SSI/SSD lawyer.

I just got a call from her saying I won, and best of all I didnt even have to set foot into the court room!

They tried to claim I was not bipolar, have Fibro myalgia,, suffer from migranes 24/7, have arthritic knees that need to be replace but cant because I have Fibro, neck pain, neck locking up, bad heart, diabetes type II with neurological 2nd ailment because of the type II, bad back, big time bad back, that again cant be operated on, super bad memory loss, and just found out I may have Lyme Disease to boot on all that crap.

My lawyer this time on the 4th continuance, not us, but the state, sent them a letter along with a 3" packet of notes from all my doctors stating whats wrong with me, and that I am perminantly disabled, and not healthy as the one out of party place said I didnt have.

Needless to say, that did it, and they called to say they were sorry and that I will have full coverage! And the stuff for my ssi case is coming to an end as well, so soon here I can sit back and take a chill pill, and relax knowing they are done fucking with me for quite some time, and breath a sigh of relief, after going on almost 8 years of pure hell, and dragging through the system hoping Id roll over and die/give up.

But got the call today, yelled out "WHOOOO HOOOO! as loud as I could, and have called all I could to tell the good news, and now you guys. Maybe after all is said and done I wont be so fucked in the head and can think once again.

Anyway thought Id share with my friends here the great news. I am just super stoked and gonna be hard to fall asleep tonight.

"They call me Mr.Glass"

I didn't know you had such bad luck with health. Looks like most of it stems from your Diabetes. Horrible disease. Good luck!

Thanks guys, ya'll got no idea as to how Im feeling right now, Im just thrilled, and at loss for words that it may all finally be over soon!

And for me if I didnt have bad luck I wouldnt have no luck at all. Im the spokesman for the saying been there, done that, and got the t-shirt about 50 times already.

I need the bad to quit and the good to start to come, Ive had it way up past my head with all this shit, and almost ended my life because of this shit. Im glad I went and got help when I did, or there was a 99.99% chance I wouldnt be here right now, for I am so sick of this shit, and the pain Im in 24/7 because of something. 1 down, and the last one is a whopper, almost 2 years of back pay coming from it, maybe more, and a stick up their asses from me this time.

Congrats!

Unfortuante that so many people take advantage of a system that those truly in need don't get the support & services they need.

Congrats! I'm sure it's plenty hard enough fighting the health issues and everything else that comes along with it. You shouldn't have to fight government agencies on top of it all. Cheers to a good outcome.

Congrats on having some good news in life, and additionally taking [some of/all of] the financial worry out of the picture!

Oh, and with seeing everything that you live with on a daily basis... if you haven't already, one of the greatest medical wonders to ever grace the earth is a little green herb of which you might be aware.
Whatever one wants to do with their free time is up to everyone, but the fact that most of the world still uses the law to prevent the use of what has got to be one of the best painkillers, is saddening. Someone with 1/10th of your problems would have it legally available in California for comfort usage, and I've heard fibromyalgia is one of the bigger reasons for prescriptions. Might take away a lot of the discomfort of your various disabilities, or might not, worth a try if you ever want to go down that road if current meds don't work well enough for you.

The state loves kicking people when they are down. I can understand them trying to weed out people who need to move on, but for those that truly belong on SSD its just another layer of pain to deal with.

Congratulations to you and your lawyer.

I don't want to sound like a dick...but if you are any one of those, you can just collect money from the state/government, for being mucked up (mentally/physically?)?

either way, glad you won :)

Congrats on the win, but please, please be skeptical of your Lyme's diagnosis, especially if they are telling you it's "chronic Lyme's", as there is no evidence to suggest such a thing exists. It's often just a catch-all for doctors who don't know what is causing non-specific symptoms such as nausea, fatigue etc.

My sister-in-law has multiple sclerosis. She worked as long as she could, but became severly cripple (she can still walk, barely). When she got to where she couldn't work, she filed for SSD and was denied. It took about 8 doctors and 2 1/2 years before she got to see a judge. All of the doctors signed statements that she was severly disabled, but SS still kept denying her. The judge took one look at her when she limped in the court room and dropped the gavel in her favor with no testimony from either side.

Since then, I've had a low opinion of those bureaucrats.

Grats on your win, I hope you got some cash for back benefits.
