agreed... I was like... hmmm he ran auto levels... what am I missing?

auto level wouldn't produce this result. auto levels have a tendency to hate warm colors (red, orange, yellow)

Hmm... A little bit less on the saturation, and use an adjustment mask on that Brightness + Contrast adjustment, so you can keep some of the detail in her hair. (Notice where it turns into pure black)

Also, soften the area you clone stamped a bit, it looks a little off.

get your monitor gamma sorted out and you'll see what I mean.

and lay off the saturation, lamer.
 
It'd be cool if you could learn how to airbrush. That's what I want to learn. Airbrush in PS to do photo touchup, I mean.
