and i really have no credit. have a credit card mastercard, but used only up to 1G, and paid that off. and besides smaller credit cards, like bananarepublic, gap, etc... thats it. and im stil paying off my student loans, so i guess that helps. but thats it. and its fixed 7.9%. intro rate 0% till oct, 2004.

I dont even look at the interest on CC's. I pay all of my CC's off in full every month. You should be ashamed not to.

yeah, but with my 0% intro APR, its basically a free ride till oct, as long as i just pay the minimum, i won't accue interest. sweet. =)

credit limit of 3K

Max out your card and put it in an interest baring account. You could make almost $40 Woot!

I got a Visa Gold card .. they kept upping my limit. I'm at $5000 now. I don't see myself EVER using that much of it, but its nice to have.. just in case.

I recently got my first credit card too. Sister used to work at wells fargo and still has friends there so she brought me there. I'm only 18, with no credit history, although Sports Illustrated did harass me into paying them $35 for the stupid Swimsuit Calendar which they wouldn't let me return.

Anyways I was expecting a student visa, and asked for a limit of 500 when he told me they'd probably give me 1000. 10 days later a regular Wells Fargo Platinum Visa comes, and they give me a 700 limit. No idea what my interest rate is, hell I like using my debit card more then my credit card just cuz it's easier to keep track of how much $ i have/
