Congrats. You actually do have a use for it, despite what these guys say. It helps to have as many letters next to your name as possible when applying for jobs. ;)

I'm A+, CNA 5 and CNA 6. I need to take more tests cause I know I can pass....I'm just too lazy. :p

mine actually gave me a small advantage at my job in payscale. Might have helped me get the job too, but most employers equate it to one year working experience. Even after you finish getting the other part you'll prolly have to take some pretty crap jobs to get experience. I turned down a couple of jobs early after cus they were traveling jobs, I would have had to go all over the state. Not worth it to me. But I got lucky ad some local stuff popped open. I would reccomend getting as much experience as soon as you can.

well anything you have to distinguish yourself from anyone else especially if you're short on experience or a new grad helps.

Ditto... but that's not to say not to go for it for personal satisfaction. Some companies even require it depending on job function.

Where I work they did not require any type of cert. I think that it may come in handy if I move to the city because I know of three places that require an A+ cert.

No im not trying to set my self up higher than the common tech, I just like the pretty piece of paper hanging on my wall!

Good luck on the OS exam. I thought it was the harder of the 2, but that is because there was win3.1 and 95 stuff on there that I don't remember. I'm sure now it is all win2000 or 98 questions.
