Who'll still be recognized 2000 years from now?

So I'm in the middle of reading Aristotle's "The Politics" and I find it pretty amazing that even though his writings are over 2000 years old, we're still reading his works.

Is he a philosopher of the ages, permanently engrained within human society?
So what else will still be read, listened to, watched, played way beyond in the future?

Any contemporaries from now?

Knowing humanity and the irony of fate it will probably be Rosie O'Donnell or that kid from "Home Alone" who shall not be named.

Not exactly a 'contemporary' now, but I imagine Albert Einstein will be remembered.

Oprah definatly.
Stephen Hawkins will be remambered like Einstien and Newton
Unfortunatly most of the major achievements in peoples lives aren't realized untill they've died, so there is a lot of potential contenders for this.

If you went to University of Rochester department of Physics and Astronomy

http://www.pas.rochester.edu/ and said that, you would get beat up by the faculty.

Most likely his findings will just be disproved as physics advances.
Aside from that, I'd have to say Ayn Rand will be around for some time. She'll doubtless stand less than Aristotle, though, as much of her philosophy is based on his writings.

The bunnie with the pancake on it's head. Someone will come across the picture and think it had some sort of religious significance :D

That and Einstein.

I'd also take a piece of the Apocolypse in 500
