I was browsing ATI?s warranty info and ran into this ?
ATI

Over 80% of the video cards submitted to ATI Technologies for warranty service are tested to be fully functional.

Now that cracked me up. I bet the Postal service doesn?t mind.

Jeez, they might as well say, "Dont buy our video cards if you expect to have a working system.".

That either says ATI has a lot of hardware and software compatibility issues, that people have a hard time implementing them, or their customers are really stupid.

Since the only cards NV made were the 5800U (IIRC), It wouldn't be a fair comparison, but it wouldn't suprise me that it would be similar. Of course it says nothing about volume, or about comparative industry figures.

I'm willing to bet 80% of problems across the board in computing aren't caused by hardware.
