Ahhh, one of my favorite subjects.

I was buying the Tribute blend from Starbucks for awhile, currently drinking the three regions blend. I have tried the Costco varieties, and they are not bad but freshly ground starbucks varieties taste a little better to me. I usually buy a different blend from 5 or 6 total, like to have some variety.

Anyone else use a French Press and grind their own? I am looking for a good grinder that works for a consistent course grind. Regular grinders render the grind too fine, presses work best with a course ground.

I like Dunkin Donuts and Eight O'Clock (regular and columbian).

Price dictates me buying Eight O'Clock more frequently...but I think the DD flavor is better balanced (lighter plus darker roasts mixed).

Starbucks and a lot of the other roasters often go for more robust/dark blends...but I like balance more as long as it's not too weak.

I picked up that same one early this year to replace a cheapo Cuisinart burr grinder. Works really nicely - consistent grinds and fairly easy to clean.

As far as whole bean coffees - usually something from Green Mountain.

2+ years of 1m30s grinds (as fine as possible) with no break and it's still chugging along.

Sounds like a long grind time, but a testament to how its made. ~1/4 cup of whole beans + 10 seconds for me (either medium for my drip Mr.Coffee or coarse for my press).

I checked out the Bodum, looks like a good grinder, plus Bodum makes a ton of french presses so I am hoping their grinder will make a course and consistent grind for use in their presses. Thanks for the tip.
