Is there any way so that the address and information doesn't show up from a whois search?

GoDaddy.com offers this for an EXTRA $9/yr and they are an ICANN accredited domain registrar.

AFAIK NameCheap.com does not offer this.

It's against the rules but just make something up, you can type anything in there. The only important thing is a secure password and email.
