I think this belongs here guys. Hello everyone.

I transferred a domain name from one registrar to another. Everything went smooth.

But when I do Whois lookup on it, in the history tab, it shows all my info like full first and last name, email, and phone number along with my home address.

My domain ways was and still is with Whois privacy enables. How can this be?

When calling old registrar, they tell me to contact new registrar as they down own it anymore. When calling new registrar, they say they have no control of what it was before them which is technically correct.

Please help :(
And here is the weasel part. The website that shows old history has this option of removing old archived Whois info for $29.99 via paypal.

Even if your WHOIS is managed by someone else AFAIK a direct request will get you the information on the true owner 9 times out of 10.
