It is an understatement. I went to bb to check out these speakers before I ordered them, WOW! They had a set of klipsch 5.1's sitting right next to them, the Z560's aninhilated the 5.1's 4.1's and every other speaker that was around them. The sub is unbelievable, I have never heard such a crisp response from computer speakers. The sound form the satalites is awsome as well, sharp highs, perfect mids. Yes, I did run home and place my order, can't wait till they get here!!!

I can't get these yet, parents won't let me.

All they'd do is yell at me to turn them down!

I've never heard the Z560's, but everyone on the internet seems to rave about them :)
How do they compare to a home theatre setup...say a Denon 1602 with a set of speakers. Are the Z560
s really that good with sharp highs and perfect mids? Or are they good for the PRICE you pay for them?

Thanks (not trying to crap in your thread stev0, just wondering on the quality of these babies0

i think you'll appreciate them even more when you watch saving private ryan in all its Dolby Digital bass booming glory :D also check out the THX demo link in my sig for 2 mp3 files i found that really show the power of the sub (for use on other speakers as well;))

i dunno if this works but someone posted this idea on another forum:

<< call logitech, and say you "lost" or broke one of your satelites, and need to order a new one. A person I heard ordered one satelite from Logitech for $45, and then used a Gimp RadioShack amp to power it up on his Philips AE, now hes got a 5.1 setup thats THX Logitech's baby >>

$200 CDN... not bad... too bad here in Canada all the sound card options I have is Creative, Hercules, and the onboard crap. I have a SB Live Value original right now so I'm thinking I shouldn't bother with the speakers until I get a better sound card...

BTW right now I have Altec Lansing ACS54's (20W subwoofer, 4 18W speakers...) which is pretty damn weak if you compare the specs to the Logitech...

Dell Software & Accessories store
a few months ago, there was a big thread in Hot Deals
the speakers were $150, and there was a $25 coupon and a 20% off coupon or something like that.

Just wondering, if you want them so badly, why not buy them from BB when you went to check them out?

well i can't say that Z560 is better than Klipsch 5.1....but i can definitely say that Klipsch is not worth the extra $260 that u have to pay for....:)

Thank people like me who want a good CD-RW now and buy a 24 x 10 x 40 Plextor there for $159 :Q , so you can "check out their display model."

But hell, if I could order some speaks and save $50-60 over the store price, I'd do the same thing. ;)
_____

BTW, no "Plextor's a waste" comments, please. That thing does DAE off of my f'd up music CDs like nobody's business, and I'm happy as a puppy, except for the IDE interface (I used to have a SCSI burner).

hmm.... first they screw with my cable service... now they screw with my files on my webspace... :disgust: should be fixed now... try again :) the 6 meg file should be a lucas arts thingy with a bunch of star wars clips and such, the 1.4 meg should be the t rex from jurassic park

I want them so bad, gimme gimme

Price : $128.92
Shipping : $317.30
Total cost : $446.22

AAARRGGG, then also it adds local sales tax and toll, and both of these add to the total cost not just the price of the stupid speakers. This is what pushes people into crimes :p

for the price yes, but i've been to bb and its not the place to "test" speakers. they have em all crammed on a shelf and you get to listen the subwoofer and near headlevel. talk about nonoptimal. i believe the 5.1 has 2 8" woofers, z560 can't touch that with its 6.5.

haha, testing speakers inside the store isn't the same as having the speakers in your house though. The walls surrounding your house is a better environment for the speakers, as it holds the sound in...at BB, the walls are so far apart, you don't get to hear the full sound of the speakers...trust me on this, i started the deal on the speakers in the hot deals forum...and by god, it had over 1000 posts on them!!! hehehe, remember that guys? awesome speakers for the money...and they are klipsch killers :D
