Hehe, I know this is gonna hurt ;)

Why is the mod moving threads all over the place? I'm keep getting emails saying that threads have been moved all over the place. I made a post about a new Dual DDR P3/Apollo Pro266 mobo and it got shipped off to the motherboard forum, and quite a few others that I was subscribed to got shifted too.

I can see why you guys are doing this, but why now? Everyone is used to posting in General Hardware. You could have at least made a warning before shipping threads off into the cobwebs :)

I keep getting them too. At for some reason I'm getting 3 of the same one every time

Seems to be moving a lot of video related threads from general hardware to the video forum. Does this mean that in General hardware we're not allowed to talk about:

Video cards (we have a forum for that...)
CPU's (we have a forum for that...)
Mobo's (we have a forum for that...)
etc etc. ??

Maybe he/she just got sick of seeing so many 3dfx posts by 'hardware'. God knows he/she wouldn't be the only one ;)

(Just for good measure: Hardware, you suck.) :D

I haven't gotten any of those..

Then again having a life and not posting 30 times a day may have something to do with it.

OK, here's a question that I haven't seen in Forum Issues...

What's up with the missing icons? Is it just me? Buttons are missing, too.

My 18 month old has been reconfiguring my PC, so I guess it could be me... but I don't think so.

Isla - it's to do with server load. I.e. when there's too many people happily neffing away in nefland, the server can get a tad stressed and little anomalies such as the odd missing icon start to appear. Not to mention the slowdowns and 'server busy' messages ;)

I got one about the MSI K7T Pro2 being the editor's choice KT133 mobo thread. It was moved to the motherboard forum, so what are we supposed to talk about in the general hardware? I thought it was a culmination of all threads and that the more defined forums were for people who actually care to post in the "more correct" forum. :p

Discussion about Video Products

Mmm. I must be getting old but talking about video cards in the video forum and motherboards in the mobo forum sounds so radical! NOT!!! Maybe the mods want you guys to visit other forums and make new acquaintances. Or maybe they are just cleaning up after our messy habits (/me blows snot in For Sale/Trade). :)

Anyway, all that cleaning up hints that at least one mod is female and a housekeeper. /me ducks :p

Finally, doesn't this discussion belong in Forum Issues? :p

To be honest most of the hardware forums are pretty slow. I prefer to have a quick look at the General Hardware forum, which is generally where all the cool stuff gets posted first. I know some of it is OT, but i would rather read a Topic with 15 replied in GH than with 2 in the 'proper' forum.
