Just saw it, finally. One of Jet Li's earliest movies, before the age of Matrix style combat, Fist of Legend really kicks ass.

Great movie, go watch it now.

Nice contrast between Chinese and Japanese fighting styles and as you say it's much more realistic than the wire-fu that most movies rely on these days.

...oh and a good story with interesting fight choreography. The scene where Jet Li spars with the older honorable Japanese karate master in a friendly match was well done.

I loved the blindfolded fight scene. Made me go whoa! the first time I saw it.
