When the hell did Newegg go Canadian? I've been dreaming of this since I moved up here, and only today did I see newegg.ca advertised anywhere. They swore this would never happen, when did it change?

BAH!

I hate UPS...I always gotta drive to pickup packages :(....bummer. NCIX it is then.

Edit:

Realistically, the same Seagate 1TB drive is $20 cheaper after taxes/shipping through Newegg. I'll keep an open mind I guess.

If they sell it up here and charge taxes though, then we don't pay customs. Same thing that Tigerdirect does, they "import" the items at the time of shipping, they use UPS to and I have to put up with it from them.

Canada is slowly taking over as the place to be in North America. We got better beer, better women, and now we have Newegg. The end is coming!

Only one problem, Canadians still have beady eyes and floppy heads.

Blame Canada!

True, which is why it's so important that more Americans move to Canada to take over!

Don't forget they also have Quebec and you still have to live in Canada.

Check Direct Canada if you're looking for good prices. I've found they are pretty much always cheaper than NCIX, and have free shipping over $300.

Why does your home page trip FFs security alerts? Says it's an attack site.

Built my last computer all from parts from NCIX. I live in Vancouver and there are several NCIX stores downtown here where I can go an pickup my order in person. Cool stores to feels like a hardware parts clearing house. You take a number wait in line and there's hardware ALL over the place. Love NCIX myself.

i did the exact same thing last summer. got a c2d with 2 gb and 8800gts and the prices came out to almost newegg levels once adjusted for the currency difference. $10 gas sure beats shipping fees and worries about shipping damage

Because I'm constantly testing things on my site for work, we were playing with some code we had to see if you could do various SQL injection based attacks on it, turns out you could. Google happened to index the subdomain I was using during that, and flagged it. The only thing actually on the site is a CGI based news program called Coranto, nothing else can be accessed.

Yeah but I live in Victoria, I can't pay $200 to ride the ferry just to pick up parts. Canadapost is nice and cheap, and just down the street for pickups, so I don't mind that. But I miss Newegg :(

After living in Montreal for a year, I can say that the women are generally hotter and much, much, much better dressed than anywhere I've been in the US.

newegg.ca opening is OFN...what rock you been under? :p

It's nice they are here now, but they are overpriced for most everything, their sales are a joke, & their shipping prices are retarded, not to mention the dreaded use of UPS.

I was buying a mobo & case a little bit ago, & on top of the case shipping, adding a mobo was an extra couple bucks, but adding RAM instead of a mobo was an extra $14

Silliness.

Only thing newegg.ca is good for is for items we cannot get thru NCIX & clones, etc, as pricing is pretty much bad all around thru newegg.ca
