Just sittin at my main rig, playing BF1942 when all of a sudden the monitor goes freaky-looking (think The Ring) and the lights dim. Whip out the new Fluke 179 and wtf? 70 volts at the outlets? I went upstairs to see if street lights are on, old folks home across the street is on back-up power, etc. Lights brighten for enough time to check the outlet again: 80 volts? Then everything goes dark. Damn you Manitoba Hydro :p

Any other ATOT Winnipeggers (I know there are more) experience this in their neighbourhood? North-end here.

Damnit, tho, I think my 420 Enermax Noisetaker is dead, and my 120-day uptime on my server is toast :(

No surge protector or something of the sort? Shame on you.

Yup, back on within ten minutes. Weird thing is how the voltage dropped so low for a sustained amount of time.

Edit @ ^: Oh no, I have a surge protector on all my important circuits (computers, etc). The wierd thing was I felt a tingly-kind-of-electronic feel over my head as if it was coming from my headphones, which ocurred while my monitor was going nuts. I don't know if there was some insane transient during the fault, but it made a nutcase out of my alarm clock. I think the sustained low voltage also may have something to do with it.
