Walking Octopus Article

If you are using your limbs to disguise yourself, how do you flee danger without giving yourself away? The answer, when you have eight arms, is to use six arms for disguise and to walk across on the seafloor on the other two.
That is the extraordinary behaviour observed for the first time in two species of octopus by Christine Huffard's team from the University of California, Berkeley, US.

In a few years, they will evolve and quite possibly, be your neighbor.

those suckers are smart

i watched a tv show about them... in one lab, scientists started noticing that fish were missing from aquariums and could not figure out where they were going. they set up cameras and found that an octopus from a SEPARATE tank was actually climbing out, walking across the table, jumping in the other tank, eating the fish, then climbing out and walking back to his own. it was one of the craziest animal things i have ever seen

And then after that your daughter won't mind having a husband with 6 extra arms to please her with.

Oh, he was walking underwater. It would've been alot cooler if he was walking on land.

I saw this on Discovery channel last night. It was kinda weird, and Christine Huffard is ugly.
